Just renewed AP -> quick questions?

I just got off the phone with a friendly CM who helped me renew my AP.

She said I would get a voucher in the mail. She also told me that since our next vacation wouldn't be until November that Nov. would be my new renewal date. Is that true? :confused3

Also, she told me that I could exchange my AP voucher at my resort, POP. I thought it had to be a theme park. Is this also accurate? :confused3

Just want to know what to expect so there are no unpleasant surprises. Can anyone confirm or disprove these statements? Thanks! :goodvibes

Well, sorry to say she is wrong on both counts.

If you, in fact, RENEWED your expired AP's within the 30-day time limit (and got the "renewal discount")... your NEW AP's will have the same start/end-date (or maybe one day later) as your previous ones (that just expired).

And if you DO get a "voucher", it can only be redeemed at Guest Relations at a Theme Park or Downtown Disney (not at a resort, as you suspected.)
 
If I don't get a voucher, what do I get in the mail?

You will get a new ticket that had different numbers on the back. I don't think they would send the tickets themselves but the voucher will probably have something tied to it in the computers that will give the correct starting and ending times.
 

We have received our vouchers for our NEW tickets, which we were told we must go to guest relations at a park to exchange them for our AP's, and the time would not start until the day we activate them. Different from a re-newal.
