Just received closing documents, have question...

I received my closing documents today and will return them tomorrow. Assuming the seller is quick to return, how soon will my points be available? Is it any faster because I am an existing DVC member? I am very nervous because 5 kids are desperate to get to Disney this summer ( late August) TIA

Is there a designated closing date? Has Disney already signed off on right of first refusal (usually you don't get closing documents unless that has occurred; but if has not that could take up to a month). Once there is a closing, you will usually be recognized in Disney's system about a week therafter and then you can make ressies. So it all depends on when closing is to occur. The fact that you are an existing DVC member makes no difference.

Passed ROFR around 3 weeks ago. The documents don't specify a closing date, but request that they be returned by 3/03 so as not to delay closing.

given your 3/03 return date. Our Estoppel was not issued until 30+ full days after it passed ROFR. Re. late Aug., unless you have a specific place you MUST stay , you'll be fine. Most kids are in school by late Aug.---there will be plenty left, esp. at OKW and SSR and an assortment of hit or miss dates at all other resorts. We were in the same boat last month and we were traveling late June, which is a much busier time. They had SSR, OKW and a few days during our time at BWV (the only other place I checked).
