I’m late to this thread, but congrats!!

Congrats. 9 years? That must have been a lot of interest.

So? I’m sure they went into it with open eyes and an awareness of the extra they would pay, just like I did. I paid mine off a little earlier, but I’m glad we did it like we did it. I’ve had some good vacations that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

Add to that the fact that they have had 9 years of great vacations and I think it worked out just fine.

Yep. Even with interest it’s still been a great deal for me.

I saved for around 5 years to pay cash for resale, so I got a similar feeling. (that's due to my stubbornness and cheapskatedness, not a principled decision )
