cant beleive how quick time goes its only just over 3 months until our October trip and when we booked it was over a year to wait, anyway my question is how does everyone think the weather will be? i know its TOO early to predict but is there much chance we will come across any hurricanes because i know theres been quite bad weather over the last week or so, also anyone that has been in October whats the average daytime/night temps? hopefully HOT.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Mike

October is still well within the hurricane season, which doesn't end until late November. Temperatures should be lovely during the day and will cool slightly at night, a lightweight jacket MAY be needed then.

I find this weather site helpful and has historical reports you can view.

Thanks - I guess im not taking any type of jacket then, just checked and even the night time temps are around 70 which is still nice and warm, well i think so anyway.

I went october last year and needed a light jacket or cardi in the evenings but it was well up into the 80's during the day

Hi Sunshine state
We are also off in October 5-9 at AKL then 10 days on the coast. I will be taking a cardi as I am so nesh. DH & DS (2.5) won't put anything on as they are warm blooded! When are you there?

I'll advise my mum to take a light jacket then but to me anything above 65 is nice and warm, even when i went April 2004 it dropped into the 50s and was still pretty warm to me.

Clare - Im there from the 6th-27th

We are going on the 18th of October and im going to take some extra layers for the evening ( hopefully wont need them ).

I have to admit though, whilst I love Disney whatever the weather is, its part of the main attraction of florida for me.. nothing better than walking round AK in the heat and then having those cool breeze machines blowing water on your face... fantastic! :earboy2:

We're going in October too, last time it was nice and warm in the evenings, but it was the air conditioning that made me cold! :cool1:

I went to Florida last year and was unfortunate enough to be there when Hurricane Jean did a U turn and came through Orlando. However the good news is that we only lost one day and the weather was very nice. In fact it was less oppressive than it sometimes can be during the height of summer.
You are going slightly later so I think you would be very unlucky to catch a hurricane and Im sure it will still feel more than warm enough, have a good break!
