Just out of curiosity pt 3 - laundry

lol, who does the laundry?
We both do, who ever thinks of it first, or whoever needs clean underwear first.

How often? a set day, once a week, daily, ??
Whenever we notice the basket is full or if we need something or want to wear something that's dirty. nothing set. maybe once or twice a week.

Do you have the kids, if there are any, help?
no kids.

Do you iron?
Not daily. If there's something I want to wear that is wrinkled I'll iron it the day that I want to wear it. Sometimes I'll iron my boyfriends things because I know he won't iron, so if I don't want him going out in a wrinkly shirt I have to.

I do the laundry. DH says he does too, but he really only does it if he wants a particular golf shirt, is going on yet another business trip and wants certain clothes, or if we are in dire straits and there are no clean parochial school uniforms for the kids for the morning.

I swear I do everything around here too! LOL

I do 95% of the laundry; every once in awhile my DH will do a load if he needs some uniforms asap or something. My husband irons most of his shirts, although I am trying to do that more often now. I probably do one major session of laundry (4-5 loads) a week, plus an extra load if there is emergency stainage.

I do all our laundry. I usually do it 5-7 days a week and usually just one or at the most two loads a day. We each used to do our own when I worked full time but after I cut back on my hours I somehow inherited the job again, lol.

I do the ironing too because both dd and dh would be happy to go out with wrinkled clothing if I didn't. I'm usually telling one of them "Take that off and let me iron it" when they are getting dressed. Actually dd will iron her clothes when she's going to classes but when she's going to work she couldn't care less.

My husband does all the laundry, with the occasional exception of emergency loads.

What's an iron? Ohh wait, I know......it's that hot thing I use on DHs shirts for funerals and weddings.

As for the laundry I do it all. Usually 1-2 loads a day. Kids get piles tossed into their cave.......errrrr room and have to put it away themselves. I put the rest away myself. I think older DS used the washer once to wash his CarHart bibs after going muddin'. Now he hoses them off first then washes them.

daily...when you have an 8 year old girl with multiple "costume" changes it really starts to pile up.

1 kid...not tall enough to reach the buttons on the machine but she does help me with sorting, folding and putting it away

I don't iron unless it is needed really bad!

I have 3 kids and it is a maricle if i find all of their clothes to wash them

DH and I like to do laundry together. It's more fun if you have a partner to share it with.

We don't have a schedule, but we try to do it on a regular basis.

I try not to think of it as a chore. A shared experience can be lots of fun.
