Just ordered our DVC Gold AP's - Process Question

We just ordered our Gold AP's. Our trip is in August. The confirmation papers make it seem like we have to go to the ticket window or Guest Services when we get to WDW. Since we have MB's and the passes show in MDE, will we have to stop by the ticket window or GS, or can we just scan our MB's to activate the passes? This our first time doing it this way.

You still have to stop at GR or a ticket window to activate the passes. Also gold passes will require you to show your membership card and DL to activate (as well at the DL for any other adults showing they live with you)
 
Thanks! That actually makes sense now that I think it through. I knew I would need to show ID & DVC membership card. How could I do that if we didn't stop @ GR? This is what happens when I ask questions before I have my morning coffee. Lol!
 
You will also receive a physical card that the CM will write your name and expiration date on the back. You will need to have the card and ID with you to use it for AP discounts.

Yeah. I definitely should have known this as well, and that I would need to go to GS to get this. We upgraded tickets to regular Platinum AP back in December of 2015 before we were DVC members. We got the physical AP cards with our names then too. I really didn't think things through before posting my question.

So... more useful question. Can this be handled at the Poly by the concierge desk, or only at Guest Services/ticket window?

Only at Guest Services.
 
And don't forget your DVC membership card. Been there, done that. Ugh! They took care of it, but it cost us time.
