Well, not getting it after all. I don't have a good line of sight. I'm NOT happy. Called our cable company and they still don't offer NFL network so I can't even watch the games after the fact.![]()
I'm sorry about that. What exactly was the line of sight issues?

I think DirectTV is going to fight tooth-and-nail to keep their exclusivity. They're paying NFL at a lot of money, and they're not going to just roll-over and let the NFL offer something that they're paying so much for to other distributors.I understand your frustration about the cable company not having NFL Network; I have called our cable company (Time Warner) over and over again asking for the NFL channel. They have told me that they are currently trying to work out a deal to get it They still do not offer it, though.

We have had it for several years and have been very happy with it.
We seldon lose the satellite...usually happens during a REALLY bad storm, and then ti comes back fairly quickly.
lol.....they're expensive, but we never had any issues at all. We only switched to try to save some money.I think DirectTV is going to fight tooth-and-nail to keep their exclusivity. DirecTV and Dish Network are not one company. There have been rumors that perhaps DirecTV would acquire Dish Network, given how weak Dish Network's financial position is, but that's not likely to happen.Do DirectTV and Dish work together; are they one company? I only ask because I know that Dish also has the NFL Network along with the Red Zone. I realize the Red Zone is not as good as Sunday Ticket with Direct TV, but Dish still has NFL which means it is not exclusive to DirectTV.....unless they are the same company or work together.
See above.I had the NFL network on Comcast up north.![]()
Yup, I thought that's what we were talking about. Sorry for the confusion.Directv has exclusivity on the the NFL Sunday ticket, not on the NFL Network.
Ours seems to go out every time it rains or gets cloudy because of rain/storms in surrounding areas. And at times has gone out for several hours. Last night in fact we were watching (well trying to) watch the twins game and out of the 3 or so hour game, we got to see maybe 20 uninteruppted minutes of it. The rest of the time it kept going in and out because of some intermittent rain showers (nothing heavy.)
It would go out for 10-15 min , flick on for a sec or two, then flicker back out for 10-15 min...it got very aggravating.
And this happens EVERy time it rains. To the point that not even a year into our contract, we are already deciding to go back to cable at the end of our 2 years. And that is comcastlol.....they're expensive, but we never had any issues at all. We only switched to try to save some money.
The switch from DirecTV to U-verse is pretty shocking for the folks I've chatted with about it, because U-verse is much more casual about compressing HD. While the service may not be as weather-impacted, on average subscribers don't get the picture quality with U-verse that they've become used to with DirecTV. YMMV.
Not crazy about it but since we are living out in the country now we have no other choice. The slightest bit of bad weather and forget watching tv. Wind, whatever messes it up.
I've read that you can wax your dish with RainX and it'll solve your problems with weather related outages. We've never had to do it, but I know I'd try it if I had problems with my TV going off due to weather.
