I need some advice from you experienced restaurant visitors:

Suppose, for various reasons, you could eat only ONE sit down dinner at any of the Disney resort restaurants (can't, again for various reasons, eat at any of the park restaurants). You are a group of six, five adults and one ten year old, looking for a good, fun eating experience. We will be traveling from MK for an evening meal. Which one would you recommend?

I have an idea of which one I am favoring but would like some experienced feedback!

I would pick California Grill or Jiko.
Not so sure if they have a fun enough atmosphere, but really good dining.

Ohana would be a great choice, If the 10 yr old is a girl maybe 1900 PF.

It is so hard to pick just one but if you are looking for a fun place then I would pick Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge :thumbsup2

For something enjoyable & a tasty meal, I'd say Ohana's or 1900 Park Fare~

Depends what kind of food your looking for.

Grand Floridian 1900 Park Fare is a great buffet and has characters. Also at the GF but a little more up-scale is Citrico's (My Favorite)

I prefer the Kona Cafe at Poly over Ohana's (Ohana's is a fun place though, I'm not crazy about the way the food served, Too much meat for me.

California Grill at the Contemporary.

Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge.

All are easy access from the Magic Kingdom except for Artist Point their on the monorail loop. To get to Artist Point you take the boat from MK.

Depending of what type of restaurant you are looking for, I would suggest one of the following.

California Grill - Excellent food and view. One of the best restaurants in WDW. But pricey and requires "business casual" attire.

Kona - Very Casual. Good food and very reasonably priced.

Ohana - Set price, all you can eat. Good food, but heavy on the meats. Very casual, and very loud.

All are on the monorail loop, so its would they would be very easy to get to and get back to MK.

I'd say Boma at the AKL! Their food is unbelievably good and there's something for everybody from the most picky eater to the most adventurous. You'll get to see animals before and after you eat right from the lodge and the atmosphere throughout the property is incredible!

Beirgarten dinner, great food, dancing, music and awesome atmosphere :cool1:

I say The Wave. We just had the best dinner we have ever had there last week.
Everything was amazing.

When I was there with my friend for Food & Wine we only picked one place to eat for sit down since we were eating our way through Epcot the rest of the time ::yes:: We picked Jiko.
