Nah. Went to the NEC last week to see Lamb Of God / In Flames & the un-surpassed Slayer last week - off to see Motorhead on Monday.

Listen, George Micheal wasn't my choice.. DH got those tickets... but I'm going with an open mind.. if you look at pics from his show..looks very professional.
Me and DH have been going to concerts since we got together at Uni.. seen loads of bands together. Saw U2 in my students union bar.. in 1981.. can't beat that! (took our 14 yr old to see them not long ago.. he thinks they are awesome).
DH choses some bands and I chose others.. we always go with an open mind.
You can't knock a band till you've seen them live!
I've seen some who I thought were the 'bees knees' and was very dissapointed when I saw them live, and visa versa.
Muse were excellent.. and I'm hoping George Michael.. the Zootons... and Snow Patrol will be equally so in the next few weeks!!

We were at Muse in Manc last night too. We were row F, Block 102, very close to the stage. I thought they were great but it was just too loud. We came in to the arena just after the support act finished and I had a headache before the lights went down for Muse because of the volume of the music they had playing. By three songs into Muse it felt like someone was drilling a red hot poker through my ears, I had to sit with my hands over my ears quite often just to give them a break! It ruined the show for me and sometimes it was so loud the song itself disappeared into a wall of white noise. Maybe I'm just getting old? I just wish I'd remembered to pick up my ear plugs.

Hi Queenie,
My ears are still a bit muffled!! I didn't think it was any louder than other bands?! If you think that was loud, you should hear the Who!!! Wow!!
We don't do.. support bands, unless we know them to be good.. bands always come on stage at 9- 9.15pm, so we managed to watch the united match first!!
Did think they were good!
