Just off the Wonder- Observations & Interesting Conversations

That was the on the boat rate. How are you getting to the port? If you are renting car or taking limo service you can stop and pick up a case (cans) and carry on with you, can't check it tho...

We are using DCL transfer..may have to reconsider getting some beer at key west atleat or we will have a sober vacation! :lmao:

3. The drink prices were outrageous. I didn't bring any beverages on board because we were only going for 3 nights. I dropped $150.00 on drinks.

I'm glad I don't drink. And with the price of cigarettes, I'm glad I don't smoke either.

The 2-fer pool specials were about $8 for two....

Only got a 2-fer on the Konk Kooler (which seemed light on the alcohol). I probably wasn't paying attention, but didn't notice any on the ship.

I forgot I was hating you for having a quickie cruise.....

Glad you had a great time. How was it without 500 of your 'closest' friends?

So.... by 2/11 you mean February of 2011 not 2/11/11. I guess you could read this as a late January repo (wonder if Mom can stay with the kids for 2 weeks...) with first Mexican Riviera cruises in February. Or could be February for all of it. "Things can always change." Now that's a line that is just frustrating.

"& Alaska".... that's interesting. I'm not sure they can do a 7 day to Alaska from LA... making me wonder if they will be doing longer cruises out there or just an occasional special to Alaska? Of course, the 'experts' will tell you the Wonder isn't equipped for the frigid Alaska weather or the ice in the water or the.....

gotta love the quickie...

I missed my 500 friends.

I think he meant the Wonder would be moving over Feb. 2011. The way he said it, it didn't register at first. We were talking about the previous PC & the fact that the Wonder was moving to Cali. He said: ah, yes, two eleven will be an exciting time for the Wonder.

He also said the Wonder would be cruising Mexico & Alaska. I was surprised to hear Alaska, and said, oh Alaska? I thought the Wonder might cruise to Hawaii considering Disney was building a resort there. That's when he said "things can always change". I think he figured I was fishing for information, because he moved along after that.

Surprisingly, he made no mention of the "hassle free" cruise.

If we had a bar bill of only $150 after three days, we'd be worried some of our orders were charged to other passengers!

:lmao::lmao:

I hope the price of those yummmmmmy BBC's hasn't gone up. However....I don't even really remember what I paid for them! :drinking1:drinking1

We just returned from the 3 night Wonder. This was our 4th DCL cruise. Some things I thought were interesting...

Hey there Lisa! Glad to hear you had a great time, but we need a PC do-over!

Hey Deanna

We do neet another PC cruise... or at least another TOAL.
I really miss you !! Hope you had a great Easter !!

When we sailed in Feb. I thought the prices were very reasonable at around 4-5 drink. And the drinks were pretty good too, not watered down.

hubby and I just got off the 4/9 - 4/12 3 day on the Wonder and were quite impressed with the quality of the drinks. Definitely not watered down. Yummy and stiff!
