OK, I am sooo excited I can barely stand it and I know the only ones who truly understand are all of us Dis'ers planning our trips and waiting for the next round of stuff regarding future planning. This is what I've got so far.... 2004 rates are in the system, guaranteed for next year. I'm staying at the GF and BWI and both rates are the same as 2003...did not increase! Also she said that DC rates would be released on Monday6/16. Since I let my DC expire last month I asked if it was worth renewing to be able to book my room with the 15% discount she said will be offered. She said that the discount offered with the Disney Visa will be as good as the DC if not better.I admit I was a bit confused at the offering of DC discounts but she said they will be offered. Also the AAA rates will be released on Monday also!! I hope I made a couple of you as excited as I am!!!:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I don't know how they can say they will be offering Disney Club discounts with it as of 12/31/03  Congrats on the reservations though... even without a discount ;)

Right. Disney Club ends as of Dec 31, 2003, so no discounts will be available after that. Don't bother to renew.

Really?

Are you saying that she said the Disney Visa card will get you a room only discount? What percent off? 15%? Is that the same as AAA. Thanks so much for your info.
I don't know when you're going but do you know what date Peak Season will end in April and regular season will begin?
Thanks again.:p

I specifically asked if these were going to be packages or for "room only" discounts, she did say room only on both the Disney Club and Visa card. We are checking in on April 25, 2004. Regular season starts on April 18, 2004. AAA is only 10% to my knowledge so I am waiting until Monday to book with the 15 %. Now please take all this with knowing that what one CM tells us could be very different from another. She seemed very confident and knowledgable though, more so than most I have spoken with.

Could this possibly mean DC is coming back? Even if not, it makes for a good temporary rumor.

I was actually thinking of this the other day. I'm sure what they are going to do is let everyone make reservations this year for next year with DC discounts. It makes sense since that is part of our benefits and the benefits go until 12/31.

In our conversation she did actually hint at something possibly replacing Disney Club. I definately asked about the discounts going into 2004 even though DC ends on 12/31/03 and she said yes, they are offering them into 2004. I than asked about renewing my DC membership since it expired on 5/31/03 and she then offered the information about the Visa discounts being as good as if not better than DC. We shall see....MJames41, you are so right, good for at least a temporary rumor!!

If the rates for 2004 are in the system, when can you access them online thru Disney.com

Thanks so much for your post! I've been waiting for 2004 rates since I booked last January for our 8/04 trip. I guess I'll call on Monday and get the AAA rate for now. Thanks again!

I just got my Disney Club renewal package, pro-rated from 7/03 to the end of the year, $12.58.

Here's what it says:

>>Your benefits from The Disney Club will continue until December 31, 2003. Although we are closing The Disney Club at the end of 2003, we will continue to bring you new ways of connecting to the Magic of Disney and will be in touch with you as exciting new opportunites develop.<<

The membership guide that was enclosed only listed discounts for dates in 2003. If they follow this years, regular season discount at the deluxes is 10%, not 15%. Value Season is 15%. Moderates and Value are 20% value, 15% regular/peak

Can you tell me how I can get the DC membership. I was told that you can't join any longer. I'd like to be able to get the discounts until the end of 2003. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:

They will only renew if you had a card expiring this year, pro-rated until the end of the year. If you never had a card, then you can't get one. I'm a DVC member, I mainly renewed for the National Car Rental discount (20%) and pass discounts. I wouldn't renew for a room discount, there are much better discounts with codes or AP's. AAA also has the same discount.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to wait to see if there are room only discount for October 19th thru 26th. Resorts are filling up fast due to FTP.

Thanks for the info, this fits in time-wise with what I was told 10 days ago by CRO. Very exciting if no increase at BWI!

After reading this I called The Disney Club and was able to extend our membership until the end of the year. I am really excited because were are going in November!!!
