Just off the Dover to Barcelona cruise

What transportation did you use to get to Dover? We're doing the Dover to Copenhagen next year so curious about the different options.

We stayed in London before the cruise and got the fast train from St Pancras to Dover. We stayed at the Premier Inn in Dover the night before. Great location. Allowed me to take pictures of the Magic as she arrived


We didn't do any excursions provided by disney. In Vigo we walked straight off the ship and round the old town. We did something similar in Gibraltar and in Lisbon used the metro to get around.

The trains are best.

we did a slow train (about 2 hours) but didn't have to transfer trains or deal with with the underground with our luggage. we left from Victoria Station

If you decide to travel by train NOTE that tickets are a LOT less expensive after 9:30am. We looked to get onto an earlier train from Dover Priory to St. Pancras and it would have more than doubled our ROUND TRIP fare for just that one way trip.
