The ship is immaculate. A lot more guests, but still have seats roped off in atrium when u want to sit and relax inside. Finding out the more staff u talk to the more want to move to the Wish, they will be training a lot of crew members, saw a lot of in training cast this time. So, so disappointed in Cabanas (my favorite place), the variety and the choices there. Met many friendly cast members. Didn’t need the kids area and the adult area was very crowded on sea days. I believe the Magic has better offerings on deck and Cabanas (Sailed in November). What a difference in crowds November till now.
we enjoy sitting in the atrium at night and watching the guests and children. One horrible thing happened the last night with an officer, head of Housekeeping (some of the officers come out at night in atrium). He got one of the crew and kept pointing to (I guess) spots on the floor…during the height of guests moving around. It honestly looked like in a Cinderella movie (it was a female crew member), I was so sad for that girl…why couldn’t it wait till nighttime when no one around, he made her look so small.

The Fantasy was ok, I enjoy her because she sails 7 days, but I fear what is to come with all the crew wanting to move. Going on Fantasy again (will be our 25 Disney sailing) end of April…I will be looking forward to more things improving. I would rate the dining room food ok, the Magic a step above.
any questions?

Did you find that there was plenty to do? Live entertainment and such? Is that detective scavenger game still going? We’ve rescheduled twice during covid, and now we’re booked for the first week of April and I’m a little disappointed because so many onboard activities and port adventures are already booked.

Not a lot of live entertainment YET but cruise director Trent said when they open theater to 100% capacity this week, they will have more entertainment. saw people doing scavenger game.

We noticed on the Dream last weekend that there were a LOT of "Earning My Ears" ribbons on crew name tags, and that a lot of the Dream crew from the re-start last fall who had come from the Wonder weren't there any more. When chatting with entertainment staff, they said a good number of experienced folks from the Dream re-opening crew were on short vacations before heading over to the Wish. They also mentioned that Disney was being thoughtful about how many experienced crew they scooped up from each existing ship so that it wouldn't just be the newest folks left behind. It seems like they're being smart about it - but also that a lot of crew are excited to sail on the Wish!

I noticed that on the dream last weekend as well with a lot of cast members being trained. We noticed that on the magic in December as well.

I really hope they start transitioning Cabanas back to the way it was.

It’s weird, given how much great stuff there is on these ships, but returning to Cabanas is one of the things that our family looks forward to the most.

I don’t sail until late May, so🤞

Could someone provide more details on Cabana's? What is wrong with it? What is different?

It's set up like a cafeteria where you tell the servers what you want and they make your plate. It used to be a buffet. Also, in order to spread people out, there are fewer choices repeated in numerous places. Finally, it's not open for dinner.

I actually like the cafeteria setup, but I do wish that they'd bring back the other foods.

I guess that’s…promising. I had fears of having nothing to do but attend luxury watch sales pitches and watch Mandalorian re-runs. Which isn’t the worst fate ever, but it’s nice to have some variety.

Do you have any idea what capacity was last week? I know they’re increasing gradually. Thanks for the recent review! Very helpful.

We were on the cruise before you. It sounds exactly the same. Yes, slim pickings in cabanas. Glad they brought back omelettes to order. During my September cruise, no omelette unless sit down restaurant. We will be cruising again April 23rd (number 27 for us).

OMG, that’s when we are sailing again🎉🚢

That's true on every ship, though. The crew quarters on Wish are way better! They have two separate beds instead of bunks and the TV is actually across from the bed so that they can watch it comfortably.
Just curious where you know this info from? I haven't heard/seen anything about crew quarters. Heck, I don't even know what they look like on the other ships.

that’s funny. Our family was going with us in February, but they canceled weeks before. I grabbed this Vgt for them. I had a cruise booked for May 7th, so canceled it so I could sail with them. Usually I’m an openning day booker, but have done a few last minute cruises. I will miss my favorite cabin though, but saved $2500 for our 2 cabins booking the Vgt.

I was talking to my server about it in February.

You can find some videos for the current crew quarters on YouTube if you look.

How was the safe passage process for COVID card uploads etc that u had to do 15 days out? Do you know if they went into your medical history to verify the cards or does Inspre Diagnostics just create a database to ensure smoother process 9n embarkation day. I just don’t know how invasive they are about our privacy with their process. Thanks.

You can find their privacy policy here. https://dcl.safepassage.com/privacy

I doubt that they get your actual medical records, but they might check your vaccine information against a state of national database, if available. You should read the terms of use when you sign up if you're worried about it.
