Hi all,
I just need to vent and commiserate with fellow dissers who I know feel the same way.
To make a very lss, as someone in the entertainment industry (though slowly transitioning out of it or to a different side of it), I am happy to say that live performance is back. I am in a show, then two days after that closes I’m in a cabaret, and then I’m producing a show that goes up end of April.
We are currently planning our fall land and sea trip, and everything keeps changing on a daily basis that I’m ready to just scream because I’m the planner, as in I am the one making every reservation, every plan. Everything.
Who doesn’t like Epcot except for dinner that I have to reserve them only at EPCOT, who has to do this, who wants that, who doesn’t fly, who has this. Are we sure this human is coming, who isn’t going on the cruise. Meanwhile, I’m lucky I’m remembering lines on stage. Something I have a freaking degree in. I can’t concentrate because everyone keeps asking me questions and ignoring me when I say don’t bother me.
I TOLD everyone in my family to not bother me until after the cabaret (early April) and yet every day is something new. We can’t do a lot for the cruise part until a certain point and same with reservations and what not. But I need ti know if people are coming or not.
On top of that the complaints about pricing (inflation is something people in my family don’t seem to comprehend), and it’s like “well if you want to do the dessert party do you want to sit in grass or on chairs?” And while I agree if it were less people it would be more feasible to do other things, I’m just so done.
The trip is MONTHS away and people can’t comprehend to leave me alone because if I’m not at work I’m at rehearsal. If I’m not at rehearsal I’m sleeping.
I love Disney, I’m excited for the land and sea trip, but I just need TIME before I dive in!
I hope I can commiserate with others.
And thanks for letting me rant
