Just missed David Beckham at Splash Mtn!

I'm surprised everyone knows who David Beckham is in the US. Do most know him from being a world-class soccer player or for being married to a Spice Girl? Just curious.

I know him for being HOT!!! :rotfl2:
Oh, and the movie wasn't too bad either! LOL! :happytv:

About 12 years ago he was the celeb guest opeing the sandwich shop in my office building!

I was the only one there who was vaguely excited!

He once sat on the arm of the chair in a bar too.....those were the days!

While celebs seem to sometimes go to DL, I don't think it is to the point that you are likely to see one. Also, places that would be on a Hollywood tour are about the last place you will see them.

We used to live in LA and mostly saw celebs in "normal" places. Saw:
John Fogerty at the movie theater in Encino, Tracy Nelson at a movie theater in Studio City, the lead singer from REO Speedwagon at a Mexican restaurant in Encino, the lead singer from Electric Light Orchestra at a really nice restaurant (whose name escapes me) in Beverly Glen, Uma Thurman at Ivy at the Shore, some actress (whose name escapes me) in a shop on Montana in Santa Monica, Miguel Ferrer driving his car in Studio City, George Hamilton (very, very tan, btw) driving his car (was it in Beverly Hills perhaps?). I also spoke with Raymond Massey on an elevator where I worked (did not recognize him, just answered a question that he asked when he got on and wound up conversing - friends with me were laughing about it afterwards as they said "that voice" how could you not recognize "that voice."). We also saw Shannon Dougherty and Tori Spelling with some male actor and friends at a restaurant (perhaps on La Cienega) - they were in the bar area and it was during 90210 days. I also saw Steven Spielberg when I was walking from my office in Universal City over to the bank by Universal Studios. Did a temp job one day at Warner Bros. Studios, went to the comissary for lunch, and Ed Marinaro and his manager sat down and ate lunch with me. My husband saw a few celebs too and he once rode in an elevator with Tom Petty. I guess we saw more musicians than actors.

Never once saw a celeb at DL when I lived in LA although I only went once or twice a year.

Places you are most likely to see a celeb: The Ivy, not sure about Ivy at the Shore anymore, any "hot" restaurant, Malibu Country Mart (where Malibu celebs get their groceries), perhaps Montana in Santa Monica (a lot of nice stores and not a place gawkers congregate). I'm sure there are places in Beverly Hills, too although other than George Hamilton in his car (and that might have been in Brentwood not BH) never once saw one.

If you really want to see celebs, try to find out where they live and go grocery shopping, to the movies, to the local restaurants nearby. I think we saw as many as we did because it was spread over a number of years and because we weren't trying.

I haven't seen many actors, I did see Julie Andrews when she was at DL but that's about it. I do see and interact with many musicians though. I don't gush over them or (hopefully) make an idiot of myself but it does happen occasionally. Kerry King (Slayer) came into the office a few months ago, when he was introduced to me I said...and I quote myself here...... "I'm Kerri too, but with an i instead of a y" Oh.My.GOD! I about died of embarrassment. He was really nice about it but my boss still teases me about it. LOL So, if I did see a celeb at DL I would be very unlikely to mob them but I would be super excited and try to snap a photo or two. :)
