I saw Whoopi's rant today and I immediately thought of Kevin. Wonder if he is still a fan?

Oh, and Pete. He said some of the most harsh things I've ever heard about people who comment about ecv users.

Unfortunately the podcast crew won't be in the studio until next year. I would have loved to hear their opinion on this.

Just wanted to say that some just have a weak heart and walking puts 2 much strain on it and that is why they use wheelchairs and ECVS

I don't think she was complaining about "fat" people using the ECV as much as those who were being rude to other people and running into her as if they have the right to go wherever they wanted to go and you better just hope you're not in their way.

If you noticed..she keeps making fun of how they were blowing their horns at her and other guests as if they were taking too long for them. I totally understand what she means because a lady and her husband nearly ran over my son when we were there. My son was walkin right next to me and they did a diagonal cut in front of him. If it wasn't for me stopping him..he would've ran right into them. They looked at him and shook their heads and told him that he needed to be mindful of people. I looked at them and told them that they were the ones who cut him off and he by no means is apologizing to them..especially when he did nothing wrong. They then shook their heads and looked at each other and said some people don't need to be parents!! It took just about every being in my soul to not run up to them and smack them!! LOL Sorry..had to rant on that for a min.

Could Whoopi used a different way to express her frustration about people on EVCs? Yes Could she have said that certain people who were using the EVCs who were rude..don't need to be riding on those? Yes.

I just don't think she was totally referring to "fat" people using them. I think she was more upset about the abuse people using them do to others in the parks.

Are you kidding me??? Did you even watch or listen? Here are two direct quotes from the video: "people who overeat and should be walking and are not." "people who weigh 9000 pounds and should be walking."

That's not talking about people being fat?? Um, I think so. And you know what? EVERYONE can be rude at the parks. People walking, people with kids that run all over not being watched, people in scooters, people with wheelchairs, EVERYONE. People have no idea why people are in scooters or need them, so they should seriously shut up. In my 15 trips at Disney I have been more offended by people walking with their kids running mad all over than any other group around. And of course - their children "do nothing wrong ever". Everyone can complain - it's not right to lump people in to groups OR talk about people's weight. Until you've walked in someone else's shoes, people shouldn't judge. I loathe Whoopi now as much as I loathe Joy. Ugh!

Yikes ... I hope Whoopi now realizes that making such a generalization is not a great idea - especially when in the public eye. Let's just remember that no one is perfect and every day is a learning experience for us all.
