I was alone at work and a client came in to make a purchase. She pays with a Disney Visa which prompts me to "flash" her my Disney t-shirt under my lab coat. She then points to her DVC tag on her car- I am stunned! She owns at the BW, I am SSR! She then asks if I "do the Disboards"- I just point at the computer and said "I'm on there now!!!". Lucky woman is leaving for a trip there in a few weeks while I have to wait until December.

What fun and what a nice break in a slow day! Not to mention I immediately lost my sinus headache! DVC people are great!

LOL! And here I was running home to report I'd just met a fellow DVCer while out to pick up cat food! Boy, you're quick!! ;)

Don't worry. I'll remember you while enjoying my "Welcome Home"s and lounging at Stormalong Bay!

You know it's funny. I almost never talk about DVC anymore, because people just kind of look at me funny ... like why on earth would you buy a timeshare at Disney. I'm glad you mentioned it!

Every time I see someone in lime green I wonder if they are DISboarders. Last night we were out to dinner and there were at least half a dozen lime green shirts. I'm never brave enough to ask.

Too bad I wasn't wearing my lime green Disney 2000 shirt- it would have made your heart sing!;)

Enjoy those Welcome Homes you have coming up; I could tell from the smile on your face that you are ready for it!

(leaping in glee that there are more of us around than I knew- doing my DVC disco moves...)

Ahhh!!! The pleasures of meeting fellow DVC Members when you least expect it. I Think We need a "Secret Handshake" or something!!!

DD met a guy at a party who noticed her Disney watch. He asked if she was a fanatic about Disney, and she said "yes". He then opened his jacket and flashed his "Members are magical" t-shirt at her! Turns out he's part of a group of children-of-DVC-members-who-borrow-their-parents-points, and he invited her to help spend his parents points:crazy: They have developed a wonderful friendship, and the group is going to Florida in September, and also on a Disney cruise. The group is already planning to combine several sets of points for next year's trip. They are all from the midwest!:earseek:

Same here! I work in a very conservative office where most people think Disney is for kids only and you're crazy to go if you are older than 9 years old. When I request vacation time at work, I end up vaguely saying we're going to visit "family" in Florida (close enough for us). I guess that's why I end up reading these boards-- so that I can see there really are others like me out there. :)

Thanks for posting the cute story, Tink.
