What has everyone's experience been with this company? Since we are getting married at the swan we have to use them and so far we have some concerns. Thanks

I did a vow renewal in 2011. No problems. Everything went off without a hitch. They did a blog entry on our renewal. If you google "andrea and Franco vow renewal just marry" it will come up.

We really didn't like their operation and voiced strong opposition to using them. Since our "wedding" was non-traditional, the Swan/Dolphin mtgs and convention team agreed to work directly with us and the vendors instead.

But we pushed for it and made all our arrangements ourselves. This was back in 2006 though. Not sure if the "rules" are stricter.

Just Marry had a list of vendors they work with and some do contract direct as well. There are other vendors in the Orlando area that also contract with the Swan/Dolphin and other Disney properties, so if you need tables, and linens, lighting etc. you would need to diligently do your research to find them.

good luck.

Thanks. We are locals so have no problem finding our own vendors our problem is they Dont seem to want to sit down and discuss anything with us. All that we got was the price and the basics it included and then nothing. Wish we didn't need to use them but swan and dolphin makes you.

sounds like not too much has changed in all these years. I didn't like that you could never reach your planner immediately. Instead, you are forced to leave emails or voicemails and wait for a call back. And by the time that phone call arrived, it felt rushed and matter of fact.

This was never a good fit for an uber planner like myself. We had a lot of guests (80) and a lot of things happening. A Disney destination wedding is like that.

Just Marry has a lock on Swan/Dolphin, which may explain why the company is run this way. Back in 06, I was told it would only save me 500.00 to drop them. I gladly did.

Wow. I wonder if I had an easy time of it because my affair was so small. I worked directly with the swan catering team on food and it was flawless. Just marry did my officiant, flowers and coordinated seating, timing of the event, etcetera.

It just seems like this is our day and they should know what we want and we would like to know what we can and can't do. I Dont get why its so hard to just set up an appointment to meet with us.... ugh

I got married in 2011 & used Just Marry and I had a fantastic experience. I lucked out with an amazing planner, Karen Gingerich, who went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. She always got back to my emails within hours & their team was willing to meet with us on multiple occasions prior to our wedding day (site visits, tasting sessions, floral sessions, caterer meetings, rehearsal, etc...) She stayed throughout our entire wedding & reception to ensure everything was going well. We also had a wonderful catering coordinator, Lindsay. I cannot say enough great things about them-we were more than satisfied with our experience.

Actually, the Swan doesn't make you work with Just Marry. They're the preferred vendor, but there are other planning companies that can coordinate a wedding at the Swan. Sunsational Weddings is one that some former Swan brides have worked with.

I just met with them when I went down 2 weeks ago no problem. They were really nice ans showed me everything around the grounds. They helped me with the timeline, etc... Weird!

I used them in 2010 and I had a great experience as well. Everything was perfect and was delivered as contracted. I even wanted special flowers that weren't part of the original choices and Karen hunted them down for me and made it happen.
In addition, the photographer that they contract with, Ginger, is amazing!!! We have used her twice since then to photograph our baby and family! I hope it works out for you - I saved a lot of money doing it at the swan. Good luck!

We had our VR at the Swan in 2011.
I cannot speak highly enough of 'Just Marry'. Everything was perfect and they helped me no end to plan and execute my special day from a long distance away - we live in the UK.
I am sorry you are having issues - we could not have been happier with their service xx

While I do not begrudge any of the lovely brides of their positive reviews here, Poison is 100% correct IMHO.
I had a fiasco of a S/D wedding in 2008 :confused3. Wedding planner ignored my calls, We were flying in from Boston, family in tow, there was a hurricane in the forecast, high stress for a Bride that's hundreds of miles away!
I left VM on every answering service mailbox I could reach at Just Marry and got nowhere. She finally answered the night before the wedding!
No apology of any kind was EVER given. The hurricane was eventually downgraded but, the weather was abysmal to say the least & it was absolutely pouring. My wedding planner's solution? Have the wedding in a hotel room and have me enter the room and walk down the "aisle" from a closet. Seriously. Had it not been for our officiant Rev. Tim & awesome photographers from Fixed Focus who pushed for an alternative, I would have been sunk. To make matters worse, my future Husband had been against a S/D wedding and wanted to have a DFTW and I pushed for Just Marry and the S/D. He was SO angry! Although we found a decent looking hallway in the hotel to use, we started our married life under extreme stress & disappointment with him being very resentful of how things turned out. He is STILL resentful and we are divorced (not solely d/t the wedding of course). I have no idea how Just Marry operates these days, I can say however that I would NEVER recommend them. I know MyMelody here on DB used another company after my wedding. There are options. You just have to push for them! Good luck, and sorry Poison. I feel your pain! Pretty sure my pics are linked to my siggy. The whole sordid story is there lol.

We got married in 2012 and adored Just Marry. We had a wonderful planner (Diana) and the entire team was wonderful - including the vendors we booked through JM.

If you're having concerns, I'd call and discuss them with the company.

I'm using Just Marry now for my February wedding. So far Diana has been wonderful. I did go a little overboard with the emails at one point. I'm just so excited! Diana answered all of them and was really sweet about it.
