Just making sure...(Free DDP)

I guess I'm paranoid but I'm just making sure I know how to do this. (This is hypothetical of course, as we don't know if it is coming out or not.)I have my trip booked September 20th - October 4th. On the day Free DDP is offered to everyone, do I call and tell them I want it added to my reservation?Thanks!

You may have to rebook, you may not. You may have to change type of room, you may not.
They set aside a certain number of each type of rooms for specials, and it depends whether the room you have reserved is the type of room they have available.

But if you call and say "I want the code ******** special, can you apply it to my existing ressie?" they can figure it out. Just be prepared that you may have to change room type or even hotel.

Here's hoping they offer it again for you...it was a great deal for us!

It looks like Disneymom covered it pretty good. Flexibility is the key. Some will be able to modify their reservations and add it while others will not. It all depends on which resorts they want to fill. If there are no empty rooms at the Poly and WL, then there will not be much hope in getting a reservation there. It's all about filling rooms at near empty resorts. Just remember, just because you are holding a reservation does not mean you are guaranteed to be able to keep it and get the promotion. Plus we don't know what the new rules might be. You may only get it to the end of the promotion and may not be able to carry it into October. Also our UK friends who already got the promotion could not book value rooms, we don't know if that might happen during this promotion or not. We should know in less than a month now. And hopefully you are aware that the first 3 days will be for Disney Visa holders bookings and if you want to do that, you need to make your deposit with a Disney Visa.
