I’ve come across multiple awesome reservations in the last week. For days in January- a studio at Poly and a studio at Beach club. Even saw a value studio at Animal kingdom Villas. The trick is to check frequently

Yes indeed. The only issue I'm running into is the resale borrowing problem. By the time I call and actually get through to member services, the rooms are gone.

There's a known issue with borrowing points through the DVC website. It appears to mainly affect resale contracts. So, when borrowing from a resale contract you may (or may not) need to call MS.
