Spur of the moment we decided to go to Fort Wilderness instead of Myrtle Beach! I can't believe we were able to get a site this close! I'm so excited! We aren't going to tell the kids we switched and let it be a surprise.
Who else will be there in June? Hope to see you there on our first trip to the Fort!

Good choice! Not that I don't like Myrtle Beach, but the camper can't seem to head north . We will be rolling in on June 11, dd 10, dd 8, ds 8, dd 6 and dd 3. We will be with my best friend and her four dd 11, dd 11, ds 4 and a borrowed child, boy age 10. I hope you have a wonderful time and I know the kids are going to be estatic when they realize Disney is in their future! They are going to love, love, love Ft. Wilderness!!!!!

Your kids will be so excited. How fun (cruel) of you to keep it a secret. I bet their faces will light up like no other when they realize! One thing I did want to point out is that it is a really great week you are going. We have been a few times in those first weeks of June and it really wasn't horribly crowded. You kind of beat some of the big East Coast Schools before they are out for summer. Have a great time.

I just rescheduled our ressie to June 5-12. We are so excited. I was supposed to have left last Wednesday with our 2 girls for a Mother-daughter long weekend. But Tuesday, our DS/9 started screaming with stomach pains. To make a long story short, at 9:30pm Tuesday night, he had emergency surgery to have his appendix removed. The brave little guy told us to go ahead, "Dad can take care of me"!!!!!!! But there was no way I was going to leave!!!!!!!!! Now, hopefully in June, all of can go!!!!! Even though, the girls and I will have to come home on the 11th. Oldest DD/15 has to be at basketball camp on the 12th!!!! I think we can handle missing one day!

We will be in a cabin! Let me know if you would like to try to meet and we will try to schedule a time. I have met so many wonderful DISer's and I would like to meet you and your family!!!!

We'll be there June 12-19. We're going to Charleston and Hilton Head before heading down to FW. It will be me, DH, DD13, DS10, DS4 and our miniature dachshund Cindy Lou Who (Yeah I now her name is strange but if you'd seen her as a puppy you'd understand ) We've never camped at FW before and we are really excited. We also love the campground in Charleston, but the one in Hilton Head is also a first. We're in a KZ expandable TT , if you see us stop by and say howdie!

Are you staying at the James Island County Park Campground? It is about 10 minutes away from our house and we camp there all the time. My kids love it!

Yes we will be at James Island Co Park. Lucky you to live so close! We camped there a year ago for thanksgiving -cooked the whole turkey dinner in the camper. The Christmas light show was going on, it was terrific. This will be our first trip in the summer, can't wait!

I will probably see you at James Island before Ft. Wilderness because that is where the kids and I hang out to kill time. We don't leave for Fl until June 10 or 11 and looking at your dates, you will be at the County Park while we will as well as Ft. W! I promise, I am not stalking you . If I don't see you at James Island, we have requested the 1700 loop. Hopefully, I will be in my new fifth wheel (Everest). Stop by and say hi if given the chance. Have a safe trip.

mrsgus06, Stalk away I hope we run into yawl. We have requested the 1600 loop at FW, so it looks like we'll be kinda close. This is a working trip for DH, so the kids and I will be hanging out by ourselves part of the time too. I'd love to meet a fellow DIS member. That's one of the things I love about camping, relaxing at the campground and meeting alot of great folks!

I'm so glad to hear of more disers that will be there in June! WTWFAN, sorry to hear about your DS. He sounds like a real trooper though! It would be fun to meet!

lovethemouse and mrsgus06, we lived in S.C for 4 and 1/2 years. We lived in Summerville,Dorchester Co. ,out near Beech Hill elementary school. We miss it so much! I remember the light show well. What a fun Thanksgiving!
