The CM asked me if I would prefer closer to the comfort station or more remote and I had no idea. We have a pop-up and a tent (4 adults, 3 kids) and booked a partial hookup site in June. Is there a particular loop or site that is bigger, nicer, more convenient?

I have been to Disney begfore and camped several times, but nevaer camped at Disnay. We are quite excited!!

we also have a pop up, and when camping at FW in a partial hook up site we have taken both.

they must have trouble finding folks who like being directly behind the comfort station, because everytime we have asked to be close to the CS we are in the site right behind it. also, when we said it didn't matter what the location of our site was.....we were put in the site right behind the comfort station.

only when we specifically say we want to be away from the comfort station do we get a more remote site.

it may have to do with the small size of our pop up too - that site behind the comfort station might be a bit smaller than some other sites. not sure.

anyway - we never minded the noise from the water pump/AC what ever it is that is right there at the comfort station. (a loud fan kicks on at a regular interval) the only one time it bothered us even slightly was on our first camping trip before we got the AC for the camper. now that we have AC in the camper and we are generally camping at a time of year when we need the AC on at night.....we don't even hear that loud fan from the comfort station.

i have come to like being at that site. i can get to the potty in seconds. a great help with little kids. also, very handy for doing laundry.

Do you have facilities in your pop-up? If not, remember you will be walking to the comfort station more often. If you do you probably will only be walking there for showers.

Hey there Okeydokey! The first site that came to mind was one we had a few years back in the 1500 loop. It's the highest number in the loop (maybe someone here will know the exact number) and is the last site before you exit the loop. It's good because you're across from the comfort station (cross the road, walk past tetherball area, cross road, comfort station(CS)) but don't get the traffic of everyone going to the CS. This particular site has an orange tree behind it that my kids thought was a nice little perk (must have been one of our late Jan/early Feb trips). The bus stop is <<right there>>, if you forget something, someone can easily run back and get it while the others look out for the bus (cause you know that's when the bus will show up!!). One of the stores, the pool, tennis courts, campfire sing a long, etc. are across the street from this loop and the other store, the marina, boats, Trail's End, etc. are a couple bus stops up from this loop. The tent pad was good-sized, our 9x13 tent fit with a couple feet extra on each side and several feet in front and back (I would guess it was a 20x20 pad).

I've been in the 2000 loop in a tent in the site right in front of the comfort station (the back one not the one out by the main road).

It's good to be close to take a shower, use the facilities, or wash clothes. :goodvibes

It's bad to be close because you hear the door close EVERY time (men's, women's, laundry doors), you hear people (darn teenagers!) walking/talking in the late night or early morn (we were in a tent that trip), or hear the ice machine and air conditioners kick on at any time.

If you have a pop-up or trailer and might be running your A/C at night or have thick walls the "bads" may not bother you. For me, I would take more remote. It's never very far to walk and it's quiter. ;)

BTW, the only partial hook-up loops are 2000 and 1500. Folks have their favorites; 1500 is close to the main trading post, pool, and movie area. It's negatives (to me) are smaller sites closer together and recent hurricanes have cleared out a lot of trees in that loop. 2000 is further away from the main area (although there is a shortcut trail through the group camping area and loop 900 to the trading post) but it has two comfort stations, the sites seem wider spaced and have more tree/shade cover.
