I didn't call them chocolate covered pretzels, since they aren't quite covered...but my DS called me on my cell yesterday afternoon and told me he needed to bring in a snack for their holiday party today (grrr...and I had just asked him the night before if he needed anything for the party when we were at the grocery store!) I was right by target, so I zipped in and bought all the ingredients. Someone had posted these as a suggestion on the community board, I'm sorry I don't remember who the OP was!
They were really easy, and my kids loved helping. Just be forewarned that the chocolate is hot when it comes out of the oven, so tell the kids to be careful!
You'll need:
mini-pretzels
Hershey kisses
Holiday M&Ms
Oven 275 degrees.
I put these on a sheet of aluminum foil on top of a cookie sheet. Line up the pretzels one inch apart. Unwrap the kisses, and place one on top of each pretzel. Pop in the oven for 4 minutes, or until the chocolate is soft but not melted. Pull them out and press 2 M&Ms on top, squishing the chocolate into the grooves of the pretzel. Cool in the fridge (or in my case, the "Walk-in fridge" aka, my garage!) for 30 minutes.
They were reallllly tasty and fun to make! My son was thrilled that he made most of the snacks for his class.
Enjoy!
