Just In Case -Fridges

Just in case you haven't ventured further than the Cdn boards today, letting anyone who doesn't know that all fridges are being removed from resort rooms temporarily.

There is a thread on the Resorts Board about it. Our TA just emailed to let us know.

Yes, I heard that one caught fire in a room, so they are all being recalled.

You can call and request one..but there are no guarantees.
I think DVC resorts are not affected.

that if you request a fridge and they cannot provide one that Disney will credit you $15 per night. Has anyone heard anything about this? I have not looked into it yet.

I am not sure if they are saying they will reimburse you if you specifically need one for medications etc. and cannot get one or if this applies to anyone who requests a fridge.

The day that Disney announced the news about the fridges I called Disney and the CM reserved a fridge for my family, because we need to store medication in it. But I am bring a cooler that plugs in to the wall just in case

AoA fridges are not affected according to my DU TA. We are book at the little mermaid standard rooms.

This is not correct. Only the Family Suites at AoA are unaffected. The fridges are being pulled from the Little Mermaid rooms. Your DU TA is wrong.

I'm in a non DVD room at animal kingdom lodge and it has the small fridge which is still there .... And has cold beer in it.
