Long story short - we're most likely postponing our big December trip for a year but are thinking of squeezing in a short this summer. It's just me and DH and we've only been to WDW twice but are totally addicted. This wouldn't have to be a bare bones kind of trip but not the deluxe one we have been on. So just how low can you go? I want to shop around for good rates on moderates, scour for airfare, etc. Based on our last trip if we ate a big late lunch we usually weren't that hungry for dinner and could definitely do light foodcourt. Any other thoughts on saving tips and reasonable budget ideas for a 4 day trip?

Thanks muchly!!

you will save a bundle (enough to extend your trip for a few extra days)!;)

The courtyard marriot in DTD has a rate of 20.03 a night. It may be worth checking out.

If you're still interested in going in December, I got POR a couple of weeks ago for $88 a night plus tax. That price was good Dec. 1 through Dec. 11. I don't know if there are any more rooms available at that rate, but if you're interested you can check into it. If you need more info let me know.

If you dont mind staying offsite then I would go with Priceline. We have used it many times and usually pay anywhere from $29-$40 for a 3* hotel. There are a few breakfast buffets on International drive where it is all you can eat for under $5.

There are plenty of inexpensive hotels on 192. I always check out
floridakiss.com for into from the Kissimmee tourist bureau. To save money on food, buy stuff for breakfast and eat in the room before you leave each morning or maybe the hotel will have free stuff, drink water at your meals at the park(or take pre-sweetened kool-aid or instant tea to add to water), limit your sit-down meals and then eat them at lunch when they're less expensive, get a kid's meal for dinner if the serve chicken nuggets or hot dog . It would be more this trip, but if you can go back within a year, it's cheaper to get an annual pass. It's great to know that you can go back again within the year and not cost you anything to get into the parks. These are things I do to get to go more often. Hope they help.
