Just how busy is Easter at WDW when it's in early April? (thinking about 2021)

Thinking about another trip over my sister's Spring Break. She is a teacher so it's the last week of March or nothing. We travelled at that time this year and it was totally manageable. BUT, Easter was later in April this year. For 2021, our Spring Break will include Easter.

Who has done this? I'm looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Also, when is your area on Spring Break in 2021?

Thanks!

The earlier it is, the more schools that have spring break around it. The more people who have spring break around it, the busier it will be. The weeks surrounding Easter Sunday are the 3rd and 4th busiest weeks of the year.

We all have our individual biases, preferences, and trips that didn’t quite go as expected. In 2018, Easter was Sunday 4/1 which was the start of our Spring Break (large north GA school system). We’ve traveled over plenty busy times - runD races, Columbus Day, Memorial Day, New Years, etc... and I found the crowds that Easter week pretty darn bad - so much so I really wouldn’t want to go back. This year, we’re doing a cruise instead of WDW just because I’m really not jumping up and down to do that again.

Like with most crowd opinions, you’ll find people that think I’m nuts and had a great time. People love Easter at WDW.

Ultimately I think we didn’t have the right plan - I didn’t plan for the early park hours all week and we were always chasing our tale, so to speak.

A good plan and proper expectations trumps crowd conditions every time (in my opinion) and I didn’t have the right mindset heading into our week.

As always, YMMV!

Think Christmas and New Years crowds. There is a reason that it is one of the 2 blackout dates for Gold Passes.
