Just Having Terrible Luck w/Rental Car 10/27-11/1

Just curious if anyone else is traveling these same dates and what car rental co you are going with. We are trying to rent a minivan and the best rates I am getting are horrible! With all fees National $298; with Dollar $239. I have applied all contract numbers, coupons, etc. from Mousesavers. I went to Alamo, and that was ever higher! HELP!

I wouldn't say $239 is horrible for a mini-van for 5 or 6 days (which would be a weekly rate).

I need a car/van from about 11p.m. 10/27 - about 2 pm on 10/31 and am having the same trouble. That is my task for today. I'll let you know if I find something

have you cleared your cookies on your computer. I know when I was having problems getting lower prices someone suggested that and it worked.

$239 for a weekly rate for a minivan (most places will charge a weekly rate for 5 days, which usually ends up being cheaper than the daily rate anyway) is VERY good if that includes all taxes. The best rate I ever got on a minivan was a weekly rental for $232 from National, which included all taxes and the discounts I was using at the time.

If you are looking for low-mid 100s, sorry, you won't ever get a minivan for the price of a compact.

Sorry, I'm not trying to rub it in at all, just want to say "Never say Never". I booked a minivan yesterday from National for 9/30 - 10/6 for $139.38. Keep trying!

While $239 may seem low for a mini van when compared to the prices I am being quoted, I know I've done better in the past. I will keep trying and hoping!
