Just have to share the absolute meltdown I just had

Soooo.. Just went to check and double check and recheck that I have all the documents I need to travel tomorrow. Everything was checking out just fine, Passports, Birth Certificates, Alamo rental car card, MVMCP tickets.. and then...

WHERE ARE OUR 9 DAY TICKETS I ORDERED IN OCTOBER??!!??
They were with the MVMCP tickets in my wallet, wrapped in the receipt. I remember because they stuck out of the compartment they were in a little bit.

Then I remember I cleaned out my wallet and purse yesterday. And I must have thrown them out. But TODAY IS GARBAGE DAY AND IT'S ALREADY BEEN PICKED UP.

I hadn't photocopied them yet, I don't have the receipt and I am not sure if it's in my email. That's about when the tears started.

I decide to check the garbage anyway.. and guess what? My husband emptied all the garbages before dinner last night to get them ready for trash pick up. I cleaned out my wallet after dinner. And right on the very bottom of the trash can, under the coffee grounds and carrot shavings, was a little folded up paper with $1300 in tickets inside.

It ended well.. but I had to share with the only people who might get why I just about had a meltdown this morning.

I would have freaked out too.

I buy EVERYTHING with a credit card (rarely ever use cash). That way if something happens I can can call the credit card company and locate the transaction. I am sure that Disney could have located your purchase and issued new tickets to you. Stores like target and kohls can find your whole purchase with your credit card alone.

Good Point!! I probably would have posted here in a panic and been reminded that I could get my credit card company to pull up the transaction! Thankfully it didn't come to that and I have my smelly coffee ground tickets in my posession

Sure glad everything turned out OK. I truly hate those stupidity moments...

I woke up one Monday morning with a jolt remembering tickets to see Don Henley years ago...checked the cabinet and sure enough, the concert was the night before...

Lost my wallet, looked everywhere, finally gave up and reported it all lost. I went in the cellar to get my laundry and as I was walking back upstairs, there was my wallet just under the first stair....

...I am going home and checking for all of our tickets now....

Here is a partial list of items I've thrown away...
airline tickets (when they were actually tickets)
IRS refund checks (both state and federal)
cash (that one was the worst)
