Hi everyone! My name is Evie and this will be my pre-trip report. I've never done one of these before, so if it's awful I do apologize for that. This will be our very first trip to Disney World and I'm beyond excited. My DH (Phil) and I have been AP holders for Disneyland for a few years now and decided to not renew them when we were given word that we would be moving from fabulous San Diego and move to the armpit of California, Lemoore. My husband is a US Sailor heading out on a super long deployment within the next week, it will be his third but the first one of us being together (I was super lucky and met him at the start of his shore duty.) I decided that I would need something besides work to keep me busy during this time and figured I should plan our dream WDW trip. I'll post all my plans and such and probably have a toooon of questions. This will be our belated Disneymoon and post deployment trip. We got married back in June 2012 but never had the chance to go on an actual honeymoon.

Trip Dates: September 15th - 22nd 2015
Resort: Animal Kingdom Lodge (Savanna View)
Travelers: Myself, my DH, Emily & Nathan (our good couple friends here in Lemoore)

I'll include some pictures I have from our Disneyland trips that are available on this computer. :)

He is such a keeper, he even proposed at Disneyland! Well, sort of. That's a funny story for another day. ;)

Next Post: How many days at each park/dining plans.

We will be going from a Tuesday to Tuesday and plan on doing six days in the parks. I'm not sure which days we will do which park yet because I'm holding off on making those plans until hours get released.

Arrival Day: I'm hoping to get a flight that would get us there around 5 PM at the latest. We would hop on DME then head to the resort and get all checked in. Once we are checked in we really want to use one of our dining credits (I'm going to be booking a basic dining plan) and go to T-Rex. DH is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs and I know he would just love eating there. After we do dinner we will probably explore DTD, Emily & Nathan keep telling us how huge it is. (Side note, Emily & Nathan have never been to DL. Nathan use to do the College Program for WDW so they have been there. They will be our tour guides. :thumbsup2 )

We want to be there for rope drop each day we go to a park, but is that even effective anymore with FP+? I would love opinions on that.

Magic Kingdom for 2 days
Epcot for 2 days
Hollywood Studios for 1 day
Animal Kingdom for 1 day

I have most of our lunches (QS) and dinners (TS) meals planned out, well okay, I have them all planned out. I'm kind of crazy like that. I'm up in the air with some places and I would absolutely love to hear feedback.

Magic Kingdom Day 1: Tomorrowland Terrace for Lunch and Be Our Guest for dinner.

Magic Kingdom Day 2: Pecos Bills for lunch and Chef Mickeys for dinner.

Epcot Day 1: Sunshine Seasons for lunch and Coral Reef for dinner. I'm kind of up in the air about Coral Reef because I've seen a lot of bad reviews. Any other suggestions? Must take the dining plan. :)

Epcot Day 2: Liberty Inn for Lunch and Teppan Edo for dinner.

Animal Kingdom: Restaurantasaurus for lunch and Yak & Yeti for dinner. Up in the air about that one as well, what other places are good for a table dinner?

Hollywood Studios: Starring Rolls for lunch and Sci Fi Drive in Theater for dinner.

Departure Day: We will use up our last QS credit at AKL and then head to the airport afternoon/later afternoon.

Next Post: Other misc plans.

Hey, looks like you're having fun planning! :) I do have a couple of suggestions. Had you thought about spacing out your Magic Kingdom and Epcot days, instead of doing the same parks two days in a row? For Animal Kingdom, my favorite restaurant is Tusker House. It's a buffet, so not exactly what you were asking for with regard to table service, but tasty and healthy foods, and if you go for breakfast or lunch, you get to visit with characters, too.

I love suggestions! We don't plan on doing the same parks two days in a row, I just don't know which days we will do each park since calendars haven't been released. That part is killing me, I'm very impatient. :(

Tusker house actually sounds perfect! It doesn't have to be exactly a table service meal, but use a table service credit. We could always do Tusker House for lunch and the quick service meal for dinner. I'm definitely going to look into Tusker House.

Thank you!

Another follower from FB. I've been to DL many times and this is our first visit to WDW too. I guess I should probably get on board with a PTR too ;)

Love your DL pictures and a proposal in DL seems so perfect!

Looking forward to reading along!

We are debating going to MNSSHP and have never been. Would anyone recommend it? Why or why not?

We haven't ever been, but we plan to go next year; it looks like SO much fun! Plus, for $60 we said why not?! You get to enter the MK at 4, ride some rides and see some cool shows for about half the regular day price.

I'm going to take the next couple days off from planning and enjoy these special last few moments with my husband, and cry a bit. I'll be back by the end of the week.

Just wanted to stop in and say "Hey!" :wave2: and let you know I'm sending you good vibes :goodvibes
