We've booked our next trip, yahoo!!!!!!

This will be our fourth time, second for the kids, and I just can't wait. Cracking deal too IMHO, 17 nights with Virgin at the Marriot Springhill Suites on B+B basis, upgrade to full size car (and free upgrade to Premium courtesy of FVC) £1880 for 2 adults 2 kids. Can't argue with that.

Sorry, forgot the dates in my excitement, we are going Feb 3rd to 30th 2004. Which means we have almost two full weeks before the school half-term holiday when we aim to hit the parks, and the last five days cover the half-time period, when we will be relaxing and shopping to avoid the crowds.

Makes it an even better deal IMO !!

The holiday sounds brillaint and gives you something to look forward to:)

Did you have any problem using yopur Virgin airmiles? After my trip in October I will have enough miles with Virgin Flying Club to book three PE flights. That is if there aren't loads of restrictions and I don't really get to redeem them?

Sorry, I don't know anything about Virgin airmiles or their flying club. The club I will be joining is the Frequent Virgin Club as this will be my third holiday with them, this entitles me to a free car upgrade in USA, not much else though.

Great stuff - and sounds like a good deal too! :)

I don't know if you've been at that time of year before, but we've just got back. I'm not one for the hot weather, unlike the wife, so it was a great compromise. Temperatures were in the mid 70's with a couple of days in the mid 80's. It was warm enough for a day at the water parks, although only one Disney water park was open. We had two bouts of rain, one at night and one on the day we were flying out. The only downside at this time of year is that you need to take warmer clothes if you're going out in the evenings, and typically my wife managed to loose her favourite Disney top. The queue's at the parks? What queues ? With a couple of exceptions we didn't have to queue for more than a few minutes. If you want to ride on Pteradon Flyers get there early. There was a minimum wait time of 30 minutes both days we were there. I thought it was hardly worth the wait, but my 6 year old daughter loved it. The parks became busier around Presidents Day and Valentines, but nothing significant,

Thanks for the trip report, much appreciated. I haven't been this time of year before, only between October and December. I am pretty much expecting the weather to be similar to Nov/Dec, is that a fair expectation anyone? I too do not like it too hot and find the autumn/winter weather just perfect, with the added bonus of not much queues!

Sounds like a great trip :)

We've been to WDW a few times in early March/ April and a number of times in late October/November.

Our experience was that the daytime temperatures were very similar at both times of year (beautiful, but not too hot!), but the early mornings and evenings were definitely cooler in the spring. Oct/Nov we were usually quite warm enough all day and evening without a sweater, whereas we needed one first thing in the morning and once the sun went down earlier in the year.

Sounds great!, lots of planning to do now ;)

(and free upgrade to Premium courtesy of FVC)

How did you get this free upgrade? This will be a wonderful bonus to your holiday!

Richard. :)

The upgrade to premium car is courtesy of the Frequent Virgin Club, which you can join once you have booked your third holiday with Virgin.

I upgraded the car myself from Compact to Full Size, and Virgin will now upgrade to a Premium model. I also intend to take advantage of the Nat West Gold card Rental Car Insurance scheme I have seen mentioned on other threads, £75 for full CDW and SLI insurance I believe.

The card should arrive any day now, taken about 3 weeks for the application to be processed, but as alternative to Virgins £400 + insurance scheme, it is well worth the wait, although I estimate I will still have about £100 worth of taxes to pay at the airport.
