Just HAD to share....

...a friend (co-worker) of my DS-in-L had been planning a WDW trip this summer w/her DFam. Long story short, she got a PACKAGE DEAL from a local travel agent (I know, HORRORS!!!) After a few "advise" phone calls with me, she re-booked directly with CRO and got a pretty good rate for ASMo (back in late April). Today, my DS-in-L called from work to get some "tips" for ressies for character breakfasts, dinner at Cindy's, etc. when I remembered about the FTP. I told her to have her friend call CRO right away to see if she could switch/cancel and rebook. So she did. Originally, she was paying a little over $750 (I believe) for the room for 7 nites, and purchase her 4-day PH passes when they arrived at WDW. Well, she's now paying almost $1,400 for the 7 days (ASMu, tho') with length-of-stay passes!! She is SOOOO excited, and I'm really happy for her, too....

I'm helping a co-worker do the same thing. Her family was trying to go to Disney, but her hubby did not think they could aford it. They knew nothing about all the info on the net, or of all the ways to save, make PSs etc. etc. etc.

Sometimes I feel she must think I am a loon, but have shared so much knowledge from these boards, and other websites. It's great to help others have such wonderful vacation.

Very cool!!!! My coworkers sister was able to upgrade from the AllStars to the Boardwalk (what she originally wanted) for ~$200 more thanks to my advice about the FTP!!! I LOVE THESE BOARDS!!!

My DH and Mom had both been teasing me about my obsession with these boards for the last 2 months. Well, after hearing about the FTP from you wonderful people on the DIS, they're not laughing anymore - we were booked to all go to WDW in November, and thanks to the FTP extension, we will each be saving $1300 on our vacation! Thanks everyone!!!

That is funny. Everyone I work with thinks I am nuts because I know so much about theses boards and the parks and resorts and all the specials and discount and ressies. But I am the first person they come to when they decide to plan a trip to the World. I just booked 8 staterooms with verandahs and 8 rooms at the BC for the 3 day cruise and 4 days park for me and all of my family. They have decided that I am the cruise director for the trip. It is funny how they laugh until they need our information. I love these boards. I think they are my hobby know. Thanks to all for the info.
