The sis-in-law yesterday made the comment while opening gifts that they are thinking about brining thier son (3 then) to WDW to see the parade on Christmas morning and maybe be on TV. ARE YOU CRAZY? :rotfl2: I did mentain that that parade wasnt live, it was taped on Dec 3, which is why we went a week later on the 10th. She is one of those cannot tell her nothing people, she knows it all. So I will be laughing to myself all next Christmas if they deceide to go. Their child hates other people, they hold him all the time, so I am only imagining how much fun that trip might be. :rotfl2: As empty as WDW is at Christmas time :rotfl2: I am sure they will have a great time. :rolleyes1 And DH told me not to say anything, so I wont, just laughing to myself.

I think that EVERY family has at least one of those!!! You know. . . the person that KNOWS everything but has NEVER been there!!! :rotfl:

::yes::

I know a few people like that. At work we always say "they know Everything about Nothing".

That is too funny. But we all know people like that in our family or circle of friends. We had a situation kinda like that yesterday. We were at my brother's house and I was wanting to watch the parade. (didn't get to but thats a whole other oprah) I mentioned that we were at the park one of the days that they had done some of the taping. They all looked at me like I had an extra head on my shoulders and told me its taped live that morning. Now mind you, they aren't that into Disney, never been to WDW, and when the go to DL they mostly do the rides (no shows or parades) and they were telling me that I didn't know what I was talking about. I may not know everything, but I know some and that I knew. I once again explained to them that they do the taping ahead of time so they can splice it together to get the "live" performances into the parade as well. They wouldn't budge and just told me I must have seen something else when I was there. I just had to laugh knowing that I was right. I could have kept arguing, but it wasn't something they were gonna listen to no matter what proof I should them. Some people just wont listen.

But Regis and Kelly said it was live and we all know that they would never lie.

Yeah, right.

It was live, the day(s) they taped it anyway. :earsboy:

For those who thought it might be live.....How often is is bright outside in CA, FL, France, Hong Kong and Tokyo all at the same time? We saw the parade at 9AM CST and it was daylight at all of those places at the same time. I didn't think CA was open until after 7AM?

Nah, it was taped all over the world, edited to two hours and shown at any time they wanted to show it on ABC.

I know one of the guys who works on taping the parade. You can assure your SIL that it was taped and is taped every year.

Some people won't listen to anything :)

A co-worker thought it was LIVE, I had to inform him is wasn't.

As many times as CA, FL, France Hong Kong and Tokyo celebrate the New Year coming in at the same time that I celebrate the New Year! Everyone knows that is at midnight East coast time! :goodvibes

After all the fuss I made about the parade not being on Xmas morning, I taped it when it was on and watched it yesterday. I was so disappointed in it. Not that I don't love seeing all things Disney World, but this 50th celebration stuff was just too over advertised.

Is it cool to do or is it really just crowded and dont attempt it with kids under 8? We did go a week later b/c of the taping but when dd is older it might be cool to see how they run everything and all the extra equipment around and such. I just wondered what it was like. Thanks!
