Just had to chuckle over a POP review

My favourite complaint I see about the Disney resorts is that they aren't 'resorts'. If you have been to the much of the Caribbean you'd know that the vast majority of their resorts are small buildings with exterior hallways like most of Disney.

YES, this absolutely. Values cost as much as a normal hotel elsewhere, and have nowhere near the benefits. It's ridiculous. Put in a room with some weights, Pop; it's not rocket science. And it would increase your perceived value for some, and make many people happier.

Why?? They are already near capacity almost all the time. Plus, it seems like a lot of folks are forgetting the other amenities, like EMH, Transportation, DME, not to mention free movies, marshmellows etc. I will take them over a fitness room.

My husband wants to play tennis. I though I understood he could play at any of the other resorts- even though we are staying at POP? Is this correct?

That is correct. I would call to reserve a court to be on the safe side.
Any Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort hotel may access the tennis courts, and equipment can be obtained using your MagicBand or a valid Resort ID. Disney Vacation Club members may check out equipment free of charge; for all other Guests, an associated fee applies.

Courts are found at the following locations:

• Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort— 2 hard courts adjacent to Bay Lake Tower; check out equipment at Community Hall or Boat Nook Marina
• Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village — Half court located near shuffleboard and basketball courts; check out equipment at Community Hall
• Disney's Boardwalk Inn and Villas — 2 courts adjacent to Community Hall; check out equipment at Community Hall
• Disney's Old Key West Resort — 2 courts near the main pool, one on Old Turtle Pond Road; check out equipment at Conch Flats Community Hall or Hank’s Rent ‘N Return
• Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa — 2 clay courts located in the sports courts area; check out equipment at Community Hall or Horsing Around Rentals
• Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts — Court located near Admiral Pool; check out equipment atShip Shape Health Club
• Walt Disney World Dolphin and Swan Hotels — 4 hard courts across from Walt Disney World Swan Hotel; check out equipment at Dolphin Health Club or Swan Health Club

Is it SSR that has courts and for some reason I want to say that Boardwalk has some, but I don't think that's right....anyway yes I believe you can reserve courts at those locations with them even if you're not a guest at that particular hotel. IN fact there was a big controversy a few years ago because someone took their laundry with them because the courts were right by the laundry room so they would do laundry and play tennis.

People lost their minds. I think because it was a DVC laundry
