Hi Everyone!!
I just had my Engagment Party this past Saturday and it was a blast!!.
It went by so fast. I had to do a lot of the prep and planning myself because my Maid of Honor lives in Germany and she didnt get home for the Holiday Season until Friday. I can't believe how fast it went by! I can't imagine what its going to be like on the Wedding Day, it must be like a snap of your fingers. To think with a year plus of planning and poof it's over in a flash
. . .but it's so worth it!
I had a "Mad Hatter" party. We made Champagne (French) Martinis and had the Hard Twisted Teas. In the kitchen we had the paper lanterns in bright colors and we strung a deck of playing cards as streamers. I made "eat me" cookies and tied little tags that said "drink me" on the stems of the glasses. I also purchased on Disney.com a set of four canisters (on clearance!!) that feature the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, the Door Mouse, and of course, the Mad Hatter; they made the cutest center pieces. In the front Hall I put signs leading up the stair that said "This Way", "That Way", "Go Back", etc
I had so much fun . . .I cant wait until 2007!!!!
