DD came to pick up her DD who stayed with us all day and announced that they were treating us to a week at Wilderness Lodge with them the second week of June......................i think she bumped her head cause she is looking at about 6500 bucks but she insists............soooooooooo............ we are leaving june 12th and coming home june 18th..........any Wilderness Lodge fans out there that can tell me what to expect? in all of our 19 trips to WDW we have never stayed there.

Sounds awesome. Expect great food, short boat ride to the MK and the Contemporary, bike path to Fort Wilderness if you want to try Trails End or Hoop De Doo Revue, all kinds of good things.

What to expect at WL? To fall in love and immediately call Disney demanding DVC points there!!!

The lobby, the pool, the boat ride to MK....all so magical for us! It's a beautiful respite from the craziness of the parks!!

Rub Humphrey's nose outside the Mercantile and on your way to the bus stop from the lobby by the arcade, ring the bell! They'll both bring you good luck!

Can't tell you much about WL. I've eaten at Trail's End, but that is about it.
It has that rustic lodgey thing going on. A different feel from other Disney resorts.

You're going to LOVE the Wilderness Lodge!! We stayed there on our trip in May and it was nothing short of amazing! The grounds are beautiful, the people are so friendly, the rooms were great. We loved the pool and the activities that were always going on, trivia, games, contests, etc. And the lobby is breathtaking. The only thing that bothered us was that the boats were very slow. We ended up taking the bus a lot which was never a problem. You're going to have a wonderful time! I wish I could go too!
