Wanted to share in case someone else wanted to give it a try. R Restaurant, Pool, Spa, Golf, Tennis, Bus. Customer Fav. one of the selections mentions the feather bedspreds and pillows the others talk about the resort being in the middle of everything/ great location. The first time I pulled it up the Laundry icon came up too. When I resubmitted the dates the laundry icon was gone. Good Luck.

How did you get that rate ? The teacher rate is 149.oo for value season. You are going in peak season! We stayed there Christmas week in 2001 for $99 per night at teacher rate. Doubt it would ever be that cheap again! It is a beautiful hotel and the location is amazing!

please do tell how you got these prices

my guess is that cofeekk is referring to hotwire.com

What????? :confused3 :confused3

Yep, that's how hotels come up on hotwire.com. They won't give you the name but a star rating and a list of amenities. That's why the OP is listing all that stuff. You have to be really careful though as some hotels are very similar with that listing. I'd think the feather beds and pillows would be a good clue. Like priceline though, when you accept it, you got it. No backing out. No refunds, no changing dates, etc.

what zone did you use to get the swan, they have revamped and the zones are very confusing.

You make it tempting to try - is it a 4 star hotel listing? (my dates show a 4 star 'customer favorite' but the reviews didnt mention a feather bed, the price for my dates are $161, not bad if it is the Swan or Dolphin, but not a sure thing... tempting tho! It also mentioned in the reviews about Ticket Sales were provided at the hotel as well as good bus service to the parks... can other hotels state that also?? very curious!)

(will also edit that I plugged in the same dates at expedia and travelocity for my Oct trip, and they show prices in the $250 + range)

Yes it is a 4 star listing. You can get a list of the hotels in the orlando area that come up on hotwire at www.betterbidding.com. The zones are different as of this week but the rest of the info is right. The Swan will have the R for resort in the amenities list and I don't think the other 4 stars do.

What are your dates maybe I can look and see if it is the same as what I got.

Just went on and checked for my dates. I would save $40 if I changed my ressie, but I have an upgrade already and can't be garuanteed it would be the s/d. So I'll pass on the savings. Anyone else? It listed as @177.00.

Thanks Coffee, I'll save that info, but as per your post it lists the Gaylord Palms as a resort - I like the tip that you read the reviews, and the tip of the feather beds!!

I poked around, and I'm sure that you are correct, its listing it as $161, which is only $30 more than the moderate resorts with no codes, less than AKL!! So thank you for your time and tips!! I'm sure it will come in handy, esp the tip of the bidding site, we are planning another trip earlier this summer!!

:wizard:

I wish it were available for my dates April 22-24, but it's not, at least I have $159 a night at the Swan. I did write down the names of the people who wrote reviews so I can keep checking. Thanks for the heads up Coffeekk! :)
