I'm in shock! We decided to go in August since we had to cut our May trip short. We wanted to go August 22 - August 30 and figured on short notice, the only availability would be at SSR and OKW. I called yesterday and to my susprise, BLT was available for all nights except for one and I was about to book it, but the BLT system was down. When I called back later in the day, two more days ended up being unavailable (three scattered days).
VWL (which was everyone in my group's first choice) actually was only unavailable on the 23rd and the 24th. So I figured I might as well go for a shot so I booked the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at OKW, and the last 5 at VWL. And then I waitlisted those first 3 nights at VWL.
I called again today thinking I could check up on the waitlist and maybe an individual night would become available at least, but they told me that my waitlist had just come through and I now have all 8 nights at VWL! I'm just shocked that I got 8 nights in a studio at VWL in one day's time for a trip that's only two months away. Not only is it the smallest resort and one of the harder ones to get into, but I also needed 8 nights which I thought wouldn't be possible. I'm thinking that both my grandfather's have seen how down in the dumps my sister and I have been after losing both of them so recently, and maybe they used some of their magic to help put a smile on our faces (yea that's not the case but just let me think it is...
). Anyways, now I'm excited!
