I just got our tickets linked to our MDE and now need to start making FP+ reservations. I went to the page and I am just at a loss of what to do.
We will have 7 in our group (8 some days when our DD's friend meets up with us). All but 2 of us will ride everything. My DH and DD6 won't ride the big coasters, TOT, Splash.
We are going from June 8-20 and have 10 day passes. At this point I am not sure what to do about the FP+ booking times. I was originally going to book them for the afternoons, but if they go to the "use your 3 then you can book more" I don't want to have them all in the afternoon.
Our plan is to get to the park at rope drop, leave around 1 and then come back in the evening.
What are others doing that are going around that time?
If I make FP+ reservations, can I go back in and change them? How much of a pain is that going to be?
When I was putting in the attractions we wanted to FP…it gave me later times. If I book what they give me can I go back in and see if there are other times available?
This is so overwhelming to me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Make your plans based on what is and what you know, but leave flexibility for when/if things change. You can always change your selections, but go in and start playing around. You will learn more by doing then by asking.

Alot depends on whether or not you have hoppers but I like to split my days into two parks because 8+ hours in one park starts to make me bored. I want a change of scenery. So, we spend the mornings in a recommended non EMH park, then hop to a busier park that afternoon/evening where our FP+ will be waiting for us.

So, what we do is arrive to a NON EMH parks 30 minutes before advertised opening time and do the things that are 100% absolute must do's and save your FP+ for sometime right after lunch.

for example...

we may start our day at Hollywood Studios and go directly to Toy Story, then see Buzz & Woody, then Sofia. Then walk over and I'll do Rock n Roller Coaster (single rider) while my wife takes the kids on Tower of Terror, then we swtich and she goes on Rock n Roller Coaster while I take the kids on ToT.

Then, we might walk over to Epcot at like 11 am and have lunch somewhere in the world showcase, then after lunch take the monorail over to Magic Kingdom where our FP+ for Enchanted Tales with Belle (2pm-3pm), Splash Mnt (3:30 pm- 4:30 pm) and MSEP await us. If we have the opportunity to make more than three FP+ at some point, I will MIGHT change MSEP to something else.

Thanks for the input. I was just on my MDE and made a few FP+. I am still so overwhelmed with what to do, but I guess I will make them with the thought that at this point we can't get more FP+.
We only do one park per day. We have hoppers before, but find we don't really hop…and with 7 tickets that really adds up.

Right now I have made the FP+ for all of us, even though like I said my DH and DD won't ride the bigger things. Can I go in and assign just the two of them another FP+? I am guessing so. I sure with everyone liked the same things…LOL

Changing your reservations is very easy. After you've saved the selections, go in to the FP section and choose "modify existing". It'll show you your saved ones, click the one you want to change and then it'll ask if you want to change it to a different experience (at the same time), or if you want to keep the experience but change the time. When you choose to change the time, it gives you many choices, not just 4 like it does when you first select them.
