and it was WONDERFUL!!! I must say, out of all the cruises I've taken, the Alaskan cruise was the best! Why? Because of the awesome scenic route! And we were so lucky! Not a single day of rain! Just a few minutes of sprinkle but on the port days of Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, it was about 20 Celsius (sorry, don't know what's that in Farenheit, I'm a Canadian). I was so hot walking around the town, I wished I wore shorts! Had to take off the fleece jacket. I didn't have to use the gloves and hats I brought. Was anyone else on the same cruise?

Awesome! What excursions did you do and who did you travel with? Glad you had such a WoNdErful time! I cannot wait for mine one year from now!

Sounds amazing!!! What were your fave parts of trip? Sadly I was not on it!!

I wore a t-shirt on Tracy Arm Day and I stood at the front of the boat. That tells you how nice the weather was.

Glad you had a wonderful time and thanks for the updates! I am sailing in two weeks. Guess I should put the winter jackets away and have more space for souvenirs!!

Our kids did the zip line tour in Skagway. Which was loads of fun. I wouldn't bother with the parkas. Maybe a light fall type jacket. I brought hats and gloves and didn't use it. However, during Tracy Arm, it was a bit windy in the front area of the ship. We were at the back ( by the Beach Blanket Cafe ). This area was sorta sheltered from the wind. It's was actually very warm in this section. Plus, we planted ourselves at the outdoor tables and ate lunch there. This is also where the bbq was (deck 9).
Tracy Arm day was my favourite. Watching the scenery, glaciers and we saw mountain goats. Remember, to bring your binoculars because they are up there. Also, crew staff bring up a glacier for people to touch and see.
We travelled with my family. 17 of us. Make sure your download the Disney Cruise line app prior to sailing. Once you get on, you'll be able to connect to wifi and use the chat feature. Wifi only good for use of the app. You can check out the activities, menus, character meets on it. Sure comes in handy to keep in touch with 17 people. It's worked well, no problems with delayed messages.
In Ketchikan, we went on the Mount Roberts tramway. That was sure worth it. We were lucky it was a nice, clear day. If not, we wouldn't of bothered. Nice to go up and hike around the area and take great pics. There is a free shuttle that drops you off in front of the Mount Roberts tramway entrance. Also, I heard from the crew, there is a free shuttle to the local Walmart, which is about a 15-20 minutes away. The crew said they always go there because there is free wifi.
Speaking of wifi, in town, it wasn't easy to find free wifi. A few coffee shops might have it. On the ship however, they offered free wifi for the first day ( I think 50 mb).

What excursion did you do in juneau? Thanks for the info about wifi working for app, I don't think I've ever read that or fully understood that before. As for other wifi, I don't even want to know, because I am so excited for my dh to disconnect!!!
