with a CM inquiring about changing from ASMo to FW Cabin. I asked at the end if there was a pin code attached to my name and he said no that those are given to people who come to Disney a couple times a year as an incentive to keep coming so much. This is my first time at Disney so he said if I book a few more time they would send me one as a way to save money and want to come back? Does this sound right? Am I wasting my time calling? Have other first timers received a pin code?

Well it's never happened to me, and I go several times a year, I already have 3 more 4 day trips planned, it seems the only codes I ever get are annual pass related.

I don't know how the codes go out....if any of us could figure it out, it would be something akin to picking Lotto #s, sorry.

I've been going to Disney for the last 20 years - staying on site constantly, etc and have NEVER gotten a pin code. I just called last night for reservations for April & nothing was attached to my name & this is our 4th stay in a year. Lucky for me we have AP's and they had an AP room rate available at the WL otherwise we probably wouldn't be going back until the Fall again. JMHO.........................

Not true. My MIL was a first timer 2 years ago and recvd the 40% pin code very early. She hasn't been back in those 2 years. My DH and 3 DS's have been going 2-3 times a year for 4 years and have only gotten the pin code this year.

We have only been once but had a code attached to our name when we called. We did call about 3 times before they told us there was a code so not sure if it was special CM magic or if the code was really there. From what I have read on these boards, there is no real rhyme or reason to how codes are given out.

I saw on another post that getting a code is like winning the lotto. I've only been to Dis one time and havent received anything. But if you switched to the FW cabins you're going to have a great time!
