Just got off the phone with CM...interesting conversation

I'm a holdout and I can wait it out even if it means no Disney trip this year.

I received the pincode offer for the good, resort discount, but I still want free dining.

I did book 11 nights at the POFQ in a king bed with AAA for $2026 for room only. The Dolphin king room would have cost me $1988 with AAA, makes more sense to stay there but we love WDW resorts and hopefully that price will go down when the discounts come out. Who knows, maybe I will wind up doing a split stay?

Not that you were looking for opinions, but I think it makes more sense to book as you did for POFQ. Even though it's a bit more money, it's only $38, not nothing, but not much more. And you get alot for that small amount over going to Dolphin - all the fun and excitement of staying right on Disney property, as well as the benefits such as extra magic hours, bus system, dining plan. And, best part is that the price may even go down lower than the dolphin if a new deal comes out that you can use! If you stayed at the Dolphin you'd be set at that price and not all the extra on site benefits or the possibility of further reduction in price!

I just want to clarify that guests staying at the Dolphin or Swan do have access to Extra Magic Hours.

Staying at the Dolphin feels a lot like being on property - you are right there with BC and YC and BWI. You can take Disney transportation, take advantage of EMH, and get your packages delivered to your room. The only thing you do not get is charging to your room or using ME. The rooms are way more deluxe, the pools are terrific, and you have all the restaurants. Personally I prefer the Dolphin to POR - and I LIKE Por!

With the Swan and Dolphin, don't forget that you have to pay to get to the resort plus you have to factor in the resort fee and if you rent a car then also a parking fee. But, you do get more of a deluxe resort experience. Just make sure that you're really comparing total costs when making your decision.

Hmmm, interesting! That's cool and good to know, I didn't realize those things. So the busses go there, and take you to the parks and back? I don't recall seeing those choices at the parks on those big boards for taking a bus back to that resort, but maybe i just missed it since i wasn't looking for it. And, what is a resort fee? But, I really do like the ME, so that'd be a pain. But, thanks for the update, good to know that info. :)

I can't wait to find out what these pins are going to be! And I hope I get one, if they include the middle weeks of October! :thumbsup2 Right now I'm booked 9/30-10/8 with a 40% off room pin code, but I was really hoping to go the 3rd week of October, which is blocked with the pin I have. :)

No PIN code for me :sad2: but the CM did say confirm it is not a GP code, it's attached to your name. She did take a long time to look for the pin, so Im hoping thats a good sign, because it sounds like more Pins will be coming out.

Hi! I just called (I was interested in October) and was told there is a PUBLIC PIN for FD from 4/3-8/13. Hmmm...I just put a new thread out with those dates, hopefully it will help someone?

I did go ahead and reserve a standard POR AB room (there are 5 of us) for Oct 22-29. So hoping the FD will come out for these dates.

I have been waiting and it's killing me not to have something set we want to go oct 29-nov 8 we are traveling with our 7 kids my mom (as usual) and now we are bringing my best friend...yeah we are driving this time yikes..so that makes 11 of us.We want to stay at por becuase of the trundle beds. We want dddp only if we get free ddp so we can upgrade.. any thoughts on a bigger or better place to stay??? ps I'm calling for a pin code when my sons get on the bus......

Just called twice and was told no public FD but these were not the most helpful CM's...here's to hoping for FD 4/13-4/20:rolleyes1

I'm sure they aren't very helpful today because of all of us loons calling 3 and 4 times to double check. As much as I want my discount if I were them I'd be annoyed by now. If any CM are reading this.... WE LOVE YOU! Thank you for dealing with our psychotic episodes! :worship: NOw.... please give us a pin!
