Just got off the phone with a cooky CM!

I have been trying for several weeks now to modify an ADR we have at 'Ohana to include my cousin's family. We've gotten the ADR up to 8 people, but I'm still trying to add 2 more on. I call almost daily. Today, I got a CM who almost switched us to TRAIL'S END buffet b/c it had availability for 10 at the same time!!!!! I just about died, and in my best, "What you talkin' about Willis?" voice I said, "Don't you touch my restaurant!!" Off to check my ADR's online to make sure my 'Ohana ressie still exists!! --Katie

I just checked. It's still there. Thank GOODNESS!! That's the very first time that I ever regretted giving an ADR # to a CM! --Katie

I think that since OP is now trying to make an ADR for 10 it falls under the category of grand gathering and must be done on the telephone. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You can still make ADRs for up to 10 people online.

What about getting a reservation for 2 and seeing if you could end up sitting near each other?

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I have been checking online for ressies for 10 as well as for 2 (so that we can ask to sit together when we get there), but supposedly, it is sometimes easier to get a "modified" ADR from a CM over the phone rather than making a whole new ADR. By modifying our original ADR, we were able to bump up to 8 people from our original 6, even though there was technically no availability in the restaurant at that time (most likely the system put us at a table for 8 in the first place), but it's been a real bear trying to get those extra two people in (to get up to 10)! Hopefully, it will work out for us, and hopefully, no other CM's will try to transfer us to random restaurants in the process!!! --Katie

Good Luck, I know it can be hard getting reservations for large groups if you don't fall under grand gatherings. We've been at the mercy of very kind CM's who have seated our parties close together.

Yes definately check your ADR's online after trying to modify. This is what happened to me .(from a thread I posted yesterday)

So I booked a Fantasmic dinner package at my 180 day mark. Originally booked for four then found out my son could come with us. I kept calling to try to add him with no luck. Sunday morning I called and still no luck, but the CM asked would you like me to book an ADR for one so he can at least eat with you. I told her yes and after the computer gave her a little trouble she said now it is telling me it is unavailabe.

Fast forward to Sunday night I tried again. I then find out my package I have had for months for four people is now for one. I said ah no it is for four, I told her about the call from earlier(I was very nice. I know it wasnt her fault or really the CM from earlier either. It was just a mistake). I did very nicely make it clear that I wanted the package back. She put me on hold and I think spoke with guest relations. That CM got on the line with me and was able to get my package back. and for all five of us. I thanked her over and over.

So be careful if you are trying to modify. Check your ADR's online after a call (something I should have done)to make sure they are still correct.

Thankfully it all worked out for us.
