OK, I just got my tickets from Ticketmania :cool1: and they are SO SMALL!!! I haven't been to WDW in 8 years, and I don't remember the tickets then, but MY GOSH!!!! They seem so small and flimsy!! Can I laminate them or something to make them less........flimsy??? Do you guys just put them in your wallet?? I've seen people put them around their necks, but I think that would get on my nerves after about 3 minutes.
There were lots of $$$$$, and I'd hate to loose them.

The good news is- even though they look like paper they are some kind of unrippable material- they are sturdier than they look.
If you are staying at a WDW resort- you can ask to have the tickets transferred to your room key- that is what I did- they are about as big and thick/sturdy as a credit card.

Keep your tickets & the paper work that came with them in 2 differnt places. If you loose a ticket( the fast pass machines are a likely place) they can be replaced with your paperwork info quickley. I keep ours in a fanny pack. I hold everyones ticket.

Will Disney refunded my lost tickets (a tragic Fastpass incident for example) even if I bought them through Ticketmania??? thanks

They did send a copy of the back of my tickets.......is that what I need to keep?

How does it work if you have a 10 day hopper and have it transferred to a room key, but only use 5 days (non expy)? Will 5 days remain on the original ticket, or the room key?

Can't laminate them. They have to go through the scanners at the turnstile.

DO make a photocopy of the back of the ticket where the ticket numbers are and keep a copy at home, in your luggage and one in your purse or fanny pack. If you do lose them, Guest Relations at Disney will be able to track your tickets via that photocopy and cancel and re-issue the tickets for you. But ONLY if you have the ticket numbers.

They may or may not also ask where it was purchased to verify correct ownership of the tickets. Having a copy of the receipt would verify this in a snap.

This use to be free but not sure if they are starting to charge for re-issuing tickets or will do so in the future.

It doesn't matter if you bought them from Disney or not, Disney will replace them as long as you have the number on the back. My Dad lost 2 brand new 5 day hoppers that I had purchased from Ticketmania. Thankfully, I had copies of the backs of all the tickets. About 2 minutes at the AK customer service window and they were replaced. On another visit my Mom lost her ticket(while we were in line to enter the MK). The copies of the backs were back in the room. I told her to check with customer service before they trudged all the way back to the room to get the copies. Since my Dad purchased their tickets at the same time we knew Moms was only one digit off from Dads. We had been to AK earlier that day, they were able to look it up on the computer and reissue her ticket since we had already entered a park that day.

I used to think having them around your neck was silly too, but if you have a large group, it makes a lot of sense and saves a lot of time when you do fastpasses. You can store the fast passes with the tickets.

While you can't laminate them, if you ask at WDW, they will give you a little cardboard sleeve for your tickets (concierge desk, ticket office, customer relations) You can put the ticket and your plastic room key in it. Another idea would be to use a plastic sleeve - like the kind you use with a lanyard, but without the lanyard. You'd have to remove it to use it though. One good thing about the ticket size is that it is about the same size as a credit card, so if you have credit card/photo slots in your wallet, you can also put it there.

They will stay on your room key- when you get the tickets transferred to your key they destry the original tickets.

So were are staying 8 nights at SSR and we bought a 10-day expiring Premium ticket through Ticketmania. If we transfer the 10-days and 6 pluses to our room keys, we will only be using 8 of the 10 days and about 4 pluses. However we will be staying offsite for another 3 days so do we just use our room key to enter the parks and use the plus features. (in essence after we check-out, does our room key turn into ONLY an Expiring Premium park pass?) confusing huh? :confused3

Yes- you will just use your room keys- I know it is kind of weird- that is what we did too- we have 10 day no exp. tickets- and we have 8 days left on them- so they are on our room keys from our last trip. It is nice because they have your names on them. But it's weird because it has the dats of your hotel stay.

Silly question...but I have to ask...MUST they destroy the paper tickets if they transer them to room keys? They'd make great additions to the scrapbook!! ::yes::
