Just got my Tickets! Do I sign the backs?

I just got my tickets in the mail. Do I sign the backs or do I wait til we arrive? I want to know before I copy them. Also, do I sign my kids' or do they sign their own name?

Please do not do something wrong for $1K worth of tickets.

Yes you need to sign the back of the ticket. If they are old enough to sign their name they can do it otherwise you can sign for them.

You can do it ahead of time. You don't need to do it in front of a CM. That way you don't take any more time getting into the parks.

The tickets need to be signed before you enter a Disney park for the 1st time. If they are kids tickets, just print their names on the backs.

Then, do they just scan your fingers the first time, right at the turnstile? What about as kids grow (thinking 11, 12, 15 year olds, here). They wouldn't have picture id, so I could see a problem down the line.

If you all go at the same time they would be "tagged" in the system as part of your family. You could show ID and it would be OK.

They're kept separate. You can only put them on your room key if you get them through a package or if you purchase them when you check in. I've done both before and I do like it that way. It was easier to carry just one card around. Less chance of losing it too.

You should be able to put them onto your room key. We just did this last week. We were staying at the Poly and the CMs at Poly guest services counter did it for us.

I wondered the same thing when my tickets arrived from Ticketmania for our Feb trip. I never did sign them and they are still blank on the back. We didn't have any trouble with the finger scan so no one ever asked to see the signature and no one told us to sign it when they saw that it was blank either. Maybe you only need to sign it if there is a problem because we used ours for 6 days with no signature and no problem.

The signature is there if indeed there is a problem. If the problem arises -- such as a rejected biometric scan -- the signature on the back is compared to photo ID with signature.

There were, most likely, tables set up at the entrances to the parks at WDW with pens available and signs directing guests to sign the back of the passes. At least this is the way it was in January.

So then -- sign the back of those MYW passes!!

They put your tickets from Ticketmania on your room keys? Geez, they wouldn't even put my Hopper Tickets that I bought at our Disney Store on my room keys a few years ago. It's good to know that they will do that now.
