Just got my Quote from AAA

And it's $740 cheaper than Disney's quote. Am I missing something? For what Disney quoted me for Garden View at Poly, I can stay Conciere level for $300 more? Wow!

Just be careful - I read a similar post on disboards before and it turned out the travel agency had quoted the wrong price. The fine print says they can change your quote if they make a pricing error.

Disney can book a room-only reservation with the AAA discount. You only need to go through AAA if you want a package.

I had AAA quote the package for me and it's the same packaged I quoted myself on Disney's website. I just got an e-mail back from another Travel agent who quoted me the exact same price as Disney, so there's no savings there. And the agent at AAA told me that the price could go down even more than that. I just thought 740 was a big discount for AAA. Anyone know their percentage?

Booked 2/29/12 thru 3/6/2012 2 br villa at Key west w/ dining, and park hoppers for 6 days, and saved $ 1206.00 using AAA.

AAA discounts on villas are usually 20% it can save you quite a bit of money because the 1 and 2 bdr villas are so expensive. Chances are disney will release a bettter discount and then you will have to depend on your AAA agent to make the change instead of doing it yourself.

Or, if you're more than 45 days out, you can make a new reservation & cancel the one with AAA. Assuming of course that you can put down a new deposit & wait for a refund of the old one.

Did they include dining? I read on another thread about AAA discounts and the poster thought they were getting a great deal only to find out DDP wasn't included in the quote.

That sounds on Par with the quote I recently got. Over $1000 savings for the Beach Club Villa. Like pp wrote, the deluxes and villas seem to get a higher % off. Of course, im keeping an eye out for an even better deal

I originally booked Beach Club Villas for 2/29 thru 3/6 family vacation, 4 adults 2 children 4, & 6, prior to new rates release, hoping for a 20% AAA magic moments rate. Upon new rate release my AAA agent attempted to convert res to Magic Moments, and was told that there are no 2 br villas included in the program, and no 2 br villas included in the AAA program other than Key West or Saratoga Springs, and that a limited number will be available. Disney package with 6 day parkhopper, and dining plan is $8216.26 vs 7010.00 AAA. If free dining comes along, or Disney offers 40% offf my AAA agent wil convert res for me. But if nothing comes along I have a package with a 25% discount off the room rate.

Hmmmm. So it sounds like I need to question the info my agent quoted me. Or maybe she has some incorrect info right now. She hasn't started the process of converting my existing res through Disney over to AAA, so maybe she will discover this then?

I think I'm confused about what you've ended up booking. You're still going through AAA?

I'm thinking also that for the dates you've booked, Disney hasn't come out with their discounts yet. It's a bit too early.
AAA has 20% off mod & deluxe room rates that can be booked now, but when Disney comes out with their discounts it's almost always better then AAA.

I have a room only booked for Jan 2012 with an AAA discount (booked myself). When Disney comes out with their discounts I always switch over to Disney discount.
So keep your eye out for Disney's release of discounts, if your AAA agent doesn't. Some are better then others with WDW booking & knowledge.
