We have 400 points at BCV and a use year of feb 2002......I have not even got a card yet and they want to know already if I want to bank my 2002 points???? We want to go on a cruise in AUG with our baby.....do you guys think we can book this in july when we close for a august departure via member services????? or am i being way to optimistic about this ressie????

I would call your guide to see if they can help you with cruise information. The reason that they are sending you information about banking points is that the last day to bank 100% of your points is July 31st. Even if you just bought you still have to bank by that time or use your one time banking exception option. We had to use our one time right when we bought since we bought in the fall a February use year in 1997. They made us sign a thing that we were banking the points and a it also said that we were using our one time banking exception.

Here's another vote for calling your guide ASAP this morning to see if they can work some magic for you!! As others have said, you have to bank 100% of those points by the last day of July, so it's important to decide what you might want to do with them... You can still bank after that, but not 100%...

We recently bought in to the BCV and booked our first cruise. Because the BCV closings have been taking longer than originally thought, MS allowed us to reserve a room on the cruise then booked it with points once our contract closed. I do not know if they are still allowing members to do this. We were supposed to close June 1st, but did not close until June 15th. I reserved the cruise around the 11th when they did not know exactly when we would close. Maybe they would allow you to reserve the room given your banking situation. I found that if I first was told "no" keep asking until someone says "yes." It seems that the "rules" are constantly changing for these types of situation. Hopes this helps a little. Good luck!

thanks for the advice.....but getting a hold of my guide was like trying to find osama bin laden in afghanistan .......they are tough to get....almost like my doctor or dentist.............
