Kids are 8,7 & 4, stayed in 2 rooms at POFQ, did DDP and lots of EMH and park hopping.

We took our oldest 2 kids who are 7 & 4. They did great, considering our 4 yr old didn't take 10 steps! Thank goodness for strollers! We were on the DDP & here was our schedule: Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Ohana, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, T Rex (downtown), 1900 Park Fare, & Le Cellier. All were great, but Ohana was the favorite. Grilled pork, steak, shrimp, chicken, turkey, bread, salad, noodles, broccoli, pork dumplings yum-O! Our table was right up front, so we got to see the whole "show" (coconut race, hula, etc.). Le Cellier is good for steak lovers (which I am not), but the maple chicken sandwich was good too. As far as the crowds go, we were pleasantly surprised! I remember waiting in lines for hours as a kid, but this time we never waited more than 25 MINUTES FOR ANYTHING! Fast pass & getting up early helped, but overall crowds were nothing like I remember in the past. If you want more detail about dining just let me know!

I am planning on it, but we found out we were expecting #4 just before we left for Disney (after miscarrying a few months ago), so we are suddenly bombarded w/ Dr. appts. When I have time to breath, I plan on getting it all down. What a great time we had!!!

Can you tell me a little more about Ohana? Was it a dinner show or just a table service? It sounds fun, like a dinner show, but when I look it up, it's with the table service meals, not the dinner shows???

It is a table service meal, but it has things that go on during the meal. We went to the character breakfast (Lilo & Stitch) and they have a conga line, limbo game, and other such stuff. The resturaunt is set up around a grill where the chef is cooking & you can see what he is doing. Here is a review of the rest. at Allears.net.

Thanks!!! I knew about the character breakfast, but one of the other posters were talking about dinner I think b/c of the food items they mentioned? Do they have all of this extra stuff just without the characters at dinner?

They had a congo line/ parade with the characters... here's a picture (not my kid... some random one I got with the shot of Stitch)

Also I have to say the food was great. DH has said we will ALWAYS eat at least 1 meal (breakfast for sure) at Ohana. I told him I think he would really enjoy dinner as well. He loves him some meat, and the family-style, all-you-can-eat skillet of breakfast meat totally sold him on the meal.

We had dinner there without characters, but the kids still loved it. There is a man there "leading" what goes on. He taught the kids a luau & gave them a lei, then they had coconut races around the restaurant with brooms. He also called up everyone with a birthday, kids & adults, and had a parade. He played a guitar and called up all the people with anniversaries & engagements and they danced to "I can't help falling in love with you". It was so sweet. And our table faced the middle of the room where all this was taking place, so we had a great time. I had wanted something different than characters & buffets all week (for my husband) and this was great for everyone!

Also at Ohana is an amazing Pineapple bread pudding w/ vanilla ice cream & bananas foster sauce. We could barely even taste it we were already so full!

Are you as sad as I am to be home from WDW??

We just got back on Sunday. Our only really bad day was DHS on Friday June 26th - never again will I go to DHS on an EE day.

Our homecoming was bittersweet. We were sad to go, but so overjoyed to see our 2 yr old Parker! That was the longest I have ever been without him and it will never happen again if I can help it! We were at MK on June 26th, and the crowds were beginning to thicken a bit too. But, it is also a day that we didn't get there before the park opened. There is nothing like the feeling of walking on to 4 or 5 rides in a row w/ no wait!

For my 2 yr old, no. He is all boy & is as loud as the day is long. For some 2 yr olds, I am sure the noise would be an issue. Also, the dinosaurs may be a little intimidating for younger kids because they are huge & they move around quite a bit. If your 2 yr old is as crazy & wild as mine, they will love it!

Our meal was around $60 w/ 2 adults & 2 kids (no appetizers). I don't know if you can charge or not. This is the only meal we paid for because we were on DDP & Hoop Dee Doo cost 2 TS credits per person. I made our reservation by calling the restaurant. We had our pick of times, so we went at 6:30 for dinner. The line was out the door, but we walked up right at 6:30 with NO WAIT! We just gave them our name & they immediately walked us to our table!
