ok, so now I have totally lost my mind and went and applied for a job today at the LSS. They asked if I could work sundays, I said I could, they said, when can you start. It was pretty entertaining. So I start on thursday. I'll let you guys know how it goes. maggie

Good for you! The real challenge will be to see if you can actually get home on payday without spending the entire check!

If it were me, I'd have a running tab so it would be like volunteer work. ;)

WHOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOunds like fun! I keep thinking when the new store opens around the corner I may apply for a job! Especially next fall when both kids are in school!
So you can now give us all the lastest ins and outs!
Hey can I be your secret sister next time around? I promise I will pretend I don't know it is you!

Congratulations!! :) That sounds fun and dangerous!!!;) :)

I was thinking the same thing-
But We Love Mickey -
I would be paying to work there if they ran a tab!

Actaully we only now have one little one close by - and they never know what I am talking about when I mention embellishments and techniques and they have a worse selection than Walmart and Mikes if you can believe it!

;)

Congratulations on your new job! When a friend worked at the local Disney Store, the job was referred to as a negative cash flow since more than the pay check went to making purchases. I supect it would be similar at a scrapbook store :). HAVE FUN!

It is the same problem in both jobs. I am currently a Disney Store CM and I used to work at a LSS....both jobs are negative cash flow more often than not.
Congrats to the OP on her job at the LSS...it really is a lot of fun.

I notive you're from NoVa. I am going to be in DC starting tomorrow - where is this store so I can check it out? Yeah, I know, some people go touring, I go LSSing!

The store is right next to the dulles town center in dulles va. it's right off of route 28 if you are coming up the dulles toll road you would get off at route 28 north and just go straight down until you see signs for the mall (nokes blvd) at the 3rd stoplight you turn right (there is a dicks sporting goods store on the right, take your next right basically) and the store is down a little ways on the left. It's called Memories. Feel free to email me if you need better directions. :D maggie

Howdy Neighbor! I live near Tysons Corner. I have a friend who lives in Sterling. We try to get together for dinner once a month and we always pop into Memories and look around before heading for Logans, Outback or Sweetwaters.

well, now you will have to introduce yourselves!:D maggie
