Just got Disney email

It's a room-only discount for Value Resorts $84 + tax most nights from 10-23-05 through 11-23-05 or Value Resorts $64 + tax most nights 11-27-05 through 12-25-05. Extra fee for more than two adults per room. Limited availability. There's nothing about whether there are discounts on other resorts.

I know the public can't use these because there's a pin, but I wanted to give everyone the heads up so they can check their spam folders, just in case. The subject heading is "An Even Better Deal on Rooms!"

I got the e-mail, too. Seems to be a little better deal for room-only reservations than the deal on the Disney website. I came here to see if anyone else got it, too.

I just got it too, mine was $84 in early Nov and $64 thru Christmas. We already are booked with an expedia package, so we can't use it either.

I got it, too and it just drives me crazy. For years, I've whined and moaned about how I never received these emails or postcards while everyone else was getting them. Since joining DVC this summer, I've now received TWO of these PIN emails!! And I can't use them!! GGaaaahhhhhh!!!!

I received the email from Disney but did not click on it. If you just point to it but not click it will show you the link. It does have disney then some letters the .com. It looks like it might be spam mail. I never received ths type of email.

That's interesting - I had a Disney e-mail yesterday that had my last name badly misspelled, then said "we just acquired your e-mail address". Disney has had my e-mail address for years. Don't know if it's spam or just a bad spelling castmember but I didn't follow the link it contained.

I got the email code too. First time it came over email, got postcards in the past. In all the years it's never been convenient, or a time we plan to go. But it sure is exciting to get one!!! I hope this means things are changing to some discounts again.

I got the "pin" e-mail today too and the e-mail confirmation...

They have had my e-mail for years and I do usually get the offers. We are leaving on Monday for a 10 day Grand Gathering and I added days at the end for POP and paid rack which I have never had to do, so it kills me to pay 99.00 a night. Last year we paid 49.00 a night! The pin code is for Oct. 23- Nov. 23 @ 84.00 a night and Nov. 27-Dec 25 @ 64.00 a night. Almost regular discounted prices.

PS: They extended hours on Oct. 8th from 9:00pm to 11:00pm at MK. So I thinking the package deals are working, thus it being fuller and extending park hours in OCT.! It will probably be busy based off this, I am thinking... And fewer room only discounts in the future due to the new direction working and I am sure it is more profitable as well. Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately, there are five of us so we can't use it unless we want to do two rooms... I am dying to do a deluxe so we are just out of luck this time. Do you think that the offer extends to a percentage off a deluxe room?

I tried but could not use it! It was only for the value resorts...at least according to the CM with whom I spoke. I may try again as she was not as knowledgeable as the CMs I usually get...

Hmm. here is my question, its says till 12/25 does that mean that the room rate is over on that date or if i book for christmas, it will extend through that rate?.. I have been waiting for something like this to come along to talk DH into disney on christmas.. im afraid to call to get the wrong answer.. I know someone out there has experience with this

I got the email too. I just got off the phone with Disney and got to apply the discount to a Moderate - CSR. We already had AAA rates for Dec 19-27, but I figured I would at least try. Sure enough, they gave me a rate of $114 per night w/o tax. Since our kids are older, we are considered 3 adults and one junior. So, that is $15 extra with the additional adult. It saved us about $10/night over our AAA rate.

Oh...thanks for letting me know~! Guess I'll just have to hope I get one. Have never gotten an email OR a postcard in the mail from Disney. We must go too often, they know they don't have to make a personal offer to us to get us to come. LOL
