Just got BWV resale- how long till we are in the system?

Just got BWV through the Timeshare Store. This was low pressure and effortless so far,and as closing costs are included we feel $78/pont was a good deal.

Anyway, I have seen some posts describing they were in the system and able to make reservations relatively soon, even for resales. My understanding is it would take 6 weeks. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks!

Have you already passed ROFR by Disney? This could make a few weeks difference in the answer you receive to your question.

Since you said you "just got" the resort, I'm unclear as to exactly where you stand in the process. Once you make an offer and it is accepted, the contract must go to DVC to see if they wish to exercise Right of First Refusal. DVC has up to 30 days to accept or decline ROFR, but they usually do not take that long.

If you pass ROFR you then proceed on to the closing.

Once the closing has occurred, it has historically taken about a week to get into DVC's system. However, more recently people are reporting waits more on the order of two weeks.
